Mitch's P.O.V
----------------

"Happy birthday, Scott!" I sang as I hopped into our bed.

"Thank you, Mitch!" he copied me.

"Get up." I pulled him off of the bed and he came crashing down.

"Gee, thanks."

"No problem, babe."

~

"My wish is to kiss you," Scott said, smiling at me.

I leaned in and gave him a quick kiss.

"Wish granted," I laughed.

We cut the cake, just like people do at weddings, and handed the pieces out to our family and friends.

Kirstie ran up to him. "Happy birthday, Scottie boy," she said in a childish voice. She kissed his cheek and hopped on his back. "To the couch!" He ran to the couch and set Kirstie down as the presents were piled on top of him. "You guys didn't have to get me anything," Scott pouted.

"Stop being cute," I said seriously.

"Nope," Scott said, popping the p.

"Good answer," I said, giggling.

"Thanks Kurvy. Thank Avriel. Thanks Ben. Thanks Genevieve. Thanks Jake. Thanks Mario. Thanks Tori."

And the list goes on...

But the best gift was yet to come from me.

~

Everybody turned off the lights for my big surprise.

Nobody dared to talk. Even whisper. Nothing.

I didn't tell anybody about what I was going to do right now.

Boy, are they going to be shocked.

Now, don't be stereotypical.

The masculine man doesn't have to propose every time.

Avi took the blindfold off of Scott.

I was on one knee in front of Scott.

"Scott Richard Hoying. I loved you from the day we first met when we were ten. It's funny, actually, because we met the day of your birthday. It was also the day that we met Kirstie. So this night is very special to me. I love everything about you, Scott. How you go out of your way to make me smile. How you wake me up in the morning.

How you love me. Imagine where we would all be if we hadn't met. We wouldn't know each other. Pentatonix wouldn't be a thing. We wouldn't have our lovely Pentaholics. Just think about it. But, I wouldn't have it any other way. Because I love you so much.

So, with that said.

Scott Richard Hoying, will you marry me?"

I looked around the room and almost everybody was crying.

Besides Avi.

But if you want to see him cry, go look at the Dog Days Are Over video on YouTube.

Scott took my hand into his.

"Yes. Mitchell Coby Michael Grassi, I will marry you."

We stood up and I pulled him in for a slow kiss.

He pulled away and gave me a hug.

He kissed me one last time, "I. Love. You."

"I. Love. You. Too."

"Hope you had a great birthday," I said. By now, we were in our own little corner while the others were still talking. "I did. Best birthday I've had in a long time."

"That's good to hear," I said, smiling.

"Music to my ears."

And that's a whole 'nother story. The story of how Scott got the music note tattoo behind his ear.

"You definitely granted my wish," Scott said while kissing behind my ear.

"Well, anything for you, Scott."

A/N- Aside from the fact that it's my birthday...

I hope y'all are having a great day.

The fact that mine and Avi's birthday are in the same month just makes me cry.

It also gives me life. Sooooo much life.

Soooo much life that I can barely handle it.

I crie evarityme.

(^ that was not a typo ^)

K bye Queens!
