Chapter 40

Harry's Pov.

"We'll talk it over with the rest of the investors in the morning and maybe we can have your final decision then." John, the head guy over this new casino told me as he shook my hand.

Fuck, another night here.

"Yeah, that sounds great. See you both in the morning."

We exchanged goodbyes and I walked outside and into my Uber.

I was hoping I could finish up today but now i'll be here tomorrow as well.

If I finish up tomorrow though, i'll still get back at least a day or half a day early.

I hate that I sound so pathetic but fuck I wish Renny was here. I'm bored out of my fucking mind.

Tyson was originally going to come but we decided he stay in the city just to watch over business there.
I didn't tell him this but a part of me also just wanted him to stay in case Renny needed anything.

I hate the whole situation with her roommates. I know she was the one that gave Audie the fucking file to begin with but Renny forgiving me and us moving on was completely up to her. I don't want them making her change her mind.

I don't know what the fuck to do now if i'm not worried or thinking about her. As stressful as it to worry all the time about someone...it's also kind of nice.

I don't fucking know what's going on or what exactly we're doing and I don't want to think about it too much because I like it what we have.

The drive to my hotel wasn't too long and before I knew it, I was in the elevator to my room.

My phone started ringing in my pocket.

'Renny'

There she fucking is. Haven't talked to her all day. Well, this morning briefly but it wasn't long enough.

"I'm flattered." I answered and she chuckled ok the other end. "I'm back at my place and i'm bored and I was hoping you wouldn't answer because you were on a plane back here."

Trust me, me too baby.

"I wish I was. I'm finishing up in the morning though. I'll meet with some investors and give them my decision. It shouldn't take long and i'll be back there by tomorrow night, maybe late afternoon. And I want your ass at my place tomorrow night."

She hummed with a small sigh.

"I can't wait."

I relaxed at her words, letting my head fall against the elevator wall as the long ride up kept going.
