Katrina's pov
My hands shook as I opened the cab door. I stepped out and quickly opened my umbrella to protect me from the light rain, hitting my umbrella at a steady rhythm. A cold breeze hit me causing me to shiver as Harry got our luggage out of the trunk."Ready?" He asked me.
"I don't know." I replied taking my suitcase. He kissed my cheek before walking ahead. Not being used to the rain, as I followed him to the door I slipped, dropping my suitcase and flailing my arms trying to find my balance. I didn't want to scream, knowing that could bring unwanted attention so all that came out was a squeal. Harry ran back to me almost slipping too and ran into me. We hung on to each other which kept us from falling on the floor.
"Well this is off to a great start isn't it?" I chuckled.
"We might be getting off on the wrong foot, but-" he couldn't finish because he was laughing so hard at his own pun that wasn't that good anyways.
"Oh my god." I started laughing too, just from watching him laugh. "Let's just do this." I pushed him lightly back down the drive way.
I followed him to the door where he knocked. I was so nervous could hear my heart beat in my ears.
Finally, the doorknob turned and I held my breath. She opened the door and held her arms out.
"Harry!" She cried as she pulled him into a hug.
"Hey mum."
She held him for a while so I kinda just stood there awkwardly.
Suddenly, she looked up at me. I couldn't read the expression in her face so I just froze and prepared my self for anything. She let go of him and walked towards me.
"You must be Katrina." She said, cupping my face gently. Before I could say anything she pulled me into a hug.
"It's so nice to meet you dear."I let out a sigh of relief and hugged her back before saying, "It's nice to meet you too Mrs. Styles." I looked over at Harry and he smiled before giving me a thumbs up and going inside the house.
"Oh sweetie." She pulled away and grabbed my shoulders. "Call me Anne. Now come on in." She led me inside the house. It was warm and I was so thankful for getting out of the rain.
I stepped into a hallway, which was covered in picture frames."Harry come help us with the luggage, please!" She yelled at him from the base of the stairs. Harry came jogging down and pulled my suitcase up.
"Come on." She motioned me to follow her. I quickly took of my soaked shoes and hung my coat before following her.
"I figured you'd want to share a room so you'll sleep in Harry's room. It's the second door on the left."
His room was simple. White walls, a few posters and dark furniture. It was neat. Harry was sitting on the bed, watching us walk in.
"Dinner will be ready soon. Rest and freshen up." She patted my shoulder before turning towards the door.
"Thank you." I managed to say before she walked out and she smiled before closing the door.
Once she was gone, I shuffled my way over to the bed and plopped face first onto Harry's bed.
"How are you?" Harry asked, rubbing my back. I grunted in response. I felt him retract his hand slowly which made me laugh.
"I'm kidding. I'm just trying not to mess up." I propped myself up on my elbows.
"Come here." Harry held my hand and pulled me up to him. I sat next to him, resting my chin on his shoulder.
"She loves you, I can tell. Don't worry too much ok?"
"Ok. She seems great though."
"She really is, you'll see. And you're doing great." He kissed my head.
"Dinner is ready!" We heard Anne announced and I tensed up.
"Relax." Harry chuckled. "Just remember she loves you and so do-"
"Hurry before it gets cold!" Anne spoke up again not letting him finish.
"Let's go or she'll never stop yelling." He laughed nervously as he grabbed my hand.
Back down stairs, a girl was helping Anne set the table. She saw me and smiled.
"That's my sister Gemma." Harry made a disgusted face. She threw a bread stick at his head.
"Saw that, loser." She turned to me. "Hey, it's nice to meet you."
"Nice to meet you too. I'm Katrina." I hugged her. "And nice shot."
"Thanks!" She flexed her arm.
"Ok that's enough." Harry pushed her away, making me giggle.
"Stop fooling around and sit." Anne scolded them. I quickly did as she said, not wanting to get in trouble followed by Harry and Gemma.
"So Katrina how did you and Harry meet?" His mom asked as she served the food.
"Yes! I want know." Gemma smiled.
"He knocked me to the ground." I said bluntly, making Harry choke in his food. Gemma and Anne froze, not sure if it was appropriate to laugh.
"How many times do I have to tell you, you were in the way?" Harry pointed his fork at me. He turned to his mother and said, "I swear she wasn't looking where she was going."
"Hey don't try and save your butt right now. We both know that isn't true." I argued, trying to hold back a laugh.
"Mother I swear I was a gentlemen." He put his hands up and I laughed out loud. Gemma started cackling and Anne covered her mouth to hide her laugh. Harry have me a wink before his mother started to scold him.
After dinner, I was helping Anne do the dishes while Gemma and Harry caught up.
I was drying the dishes when Anne walked into the kitchen with the last of the dishes. She put on gloves and started washing.
"I hope you're liking Holmes Chapel." She said.
"I am. Thank you so much for having me."
"Not a problem at all. Glad you could make it. I wanted to meet the girl that made my boy happy. Don't know what you're doing, but you're bringing him back."
"Bringing him back?" I asked confused.
"You probably know he's trying so hard to keep this image of the perfect guy and sometimes he loses himself."
"I've noticed, but I'm not doing anything. That's all him. Slowly, he's letting go, I guess. He's stopped worrying about being this image and has started being Harry again."
"I'm just glad he brought home such a nice young lady." She smiled. "With a sense of humor too."
She met Harry's mother. The woman responsible for the gorgeous man. I hope you like it. Please don't hesitate to comment or vote! Love you guys.
