My eyes were just barely open and my heart felt like it was about to burst out of my chest, beating so hard and fast like a drum. L put his hand around my shoulders and pulled me into a hug, never breaking the kiss.
I was kissing L.
L didn't reject.
I really am gay.
I guess my last name spelled backwards isn't a lie. We separated in need of air, panting hard. "Light-kun, you heard what I told myself, didn't you?" He said myself as if he were talking about something utterly disgusting and foul. You're not disgusting, I wanted to say, but didn't. L glanced to the door and visibly relaxed in my arms, his arms moving to coil around my waist. "Ryuzaki, L, Ryuga, I don't care what your name is. You're the best person I've ever seen and known, and not many people have that gift of meeting you face to face knowingly. I love you, Ryuzaki." His adorable face turned a deeper pink than it had been. I couldn't help myself; I kissed his sweet lips again, this time my tongue sweeping over his bottom lip, asking for entrance. He had accepted by opening his mouth, but it wasn't going down without a fight. We fought for dominance over each others mouths, searching every corner and crevice. L's taste was addicting, as I had found myself craving him. My hands had moved from his neck up to his spiky, tangled hair it was darker than shadow- just like his mirroring eyes. My hands ran through the snarled hair and pressed his head even closer to mine.
Just then, I heard a high pitched, girly screech. Oh no. I hated Misa sometimes... Well, most of the time, and right now, I detested her. Damn you, Misa Amane. "LIGHT!? What the FUCK!? WITH L!?" I separated from his grasp and stated simply to Misa , "Yes. I've never loved you- and you have never loved me. You were infatuated, you bitch." Misa ran away in tears and in her stupidly loud, high pitched wail. L and I watched her run to Matsuda. "Ugh." We both said it at the same time, and I inferred what we more or less might have been thinking- Misa is more of an idiot than Matsuda. She cried about me hating her- which I did- but then she had the gall to say I was abusing her. I ran out there, into the workplace, dragging L behind me. "Misa, you BITCH! I have never done that to you or any woman, and you know it!" I shouted angrily at her. She turned around and started yelling something so high pitched that I couldn't hear it properly. Then she slapped me across the face and stormed off.
Matsuda just had his stupid, empty stare he did when he was thinking. He then asked slowly and quietly, "What.. J-Just happened? I mean... She told me you were cheati-" I cut him off right there. "We were never dating, she just is a stupid blonde model who gives weak slaps." I gingerly touched the red mark on my cheek. I groaned. This is going to be there for days.. L shuffled slowly around me and dragged his feet. He seemed just a bit more normal, but never.. Happy. "I'm going to check Misa's camera. Since she may be the second Kira, she might try to kill me. Or you." L had a good point. "Good idea," I said. "Better safe than sorry."
Sure enough, Misa was sobbing and writing something in a black book titled 'Death Note.' L turned around quickly and said, "Everybody, restrain Misa Amane! She is the second Kira." Aizawa ran up the stairs, and surprisingly, 2 minutes later he detained Misa. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?" She shrieked. "I'm detaining you because.. You're the second Kira." Misa was screaming and kicking as Aizawa dragged her in a police vehicle. I smiled. Finally, Misa is gone. I sighed in relief as I made my way up the stairs, L trailing just behind me.
