One thing seems to be on my mind as we're going back to the house. It's Bear's voice calling himself Daddy to me. I could hear the worry and care in his voice. It was the only thing I could hear. He gave me his hoodie. It smells like him, and Bear smelled pretty good as well. It seemed to be the only thing bringing me back after I had my attack.

"Whatcha thinking about, honey," mom says and snaps me out of my thoughts.

"Bear. He helped me today, and he didn't have to. I'm practically a stranger to him. I really appreciate what he did for me. Thank you for inviting him back to the house," I say, slightly rambling.

"I'm really glad he was there for you, too. I'm happy that my daughter has friends that will take care of her when I can't. It gives me some peace of mind."

"I love you, mom. Thank you for being there for me."

"I love you too, honey."

We arrive at the house. Lillie and Bear arrive right behind us. I try to get out of the car by myself, but before I know it, I'm being picked up by Bear. He takes me into the house and lays me down on the couch. Lillie goes into the kitchen to help my mom make lunch. Bear sits down next to me and puts my legs in his lap. I blush a deep red and he smirks at me. I wonder if he knows that I know what he whispered to me.

"Are you cold? Do you need a blankie," Bear asks me.

"I'm a little chilly. I'd love a blankie, please and thank you."

"Of course," he says as he covers me up.

I curl into the blankie and get cozy. Bear grabs the TV remote and starts to put something on. All I hear is the intro to Adventure Time and my smile grows wider. I love Adventure Time! I notice my arms are empty. I wish I had a stuffie to cuddle with right now. That would make this moment a lot better.

I got rid of all of my stuffies when I was little because I was in such a rush to grow up. The only one I kept was a raccoon my mom got me before I was born. I wonder if Lillie could find it.

"Hey, Lil? Can you do me a favor?"

"I'm helping Mom make lunch, but what do ya need?"

"Oh, never mind."

"You sure, Yrsa?"

"Yeah, I'm sure."

Bear taps my leg to get my attention.

"What do you need, Yrsa?"

"Oh, um, it's nothing."

"Come on, you can talk to me. What is it?"

I mentally battle myself on whether or not I should ask Bear to get my raccoon stuffie. I'm sure he wouldn't mind, but I'm still wary about giving myself away. Screw it, I'll ask him. He seems to already know. That is, if he did say what I think he said.

"Can you try to find my raccoon stuffed animal, please? It's the only stuffed animal I have. I just need something to cuddle with."

"Okay, don't worry. I'll try to find it."

I point him into the direction of my room. Bear pats my head before he walks off. I blush, lightly. I bunch up part of the blankie and hold it in my arms. I wish Bear could hold me. I just feel so cold.

"Look who I found," Bear says, waving the raccoon.

My eyes light up and my feet start doing little, happy kicks underneath the blankie. I'm so glad he was able to find him. I reach my hands out and Bear puts the raccoon in my arms.

"Thank you for finding him, Bear."

"Of course, princess."

My eyes go wide in shock. Did he really just call me "princess?" No, no. I must be dreaming. I'm still asleep in the nurses office. That's it. That's gotta be it. If that's the case, I never want this dream to end.

"Lunch is ready," Lillie says from the kitchen.

I try to stand up, but Bear puts his hand on my shoulder to stop me.

"I'll go get it for you. You just got comfy, and you've had a rough day. Just take some time to relax," Bear says as he readjusts the blanket.

"Are you sure? I think I'm fine to get up now."

"I'm sure you are, but I want to take care of you."

"Thank you for taking care of me, Bear. It means a lot to me."

"You're welcome, but you really don't have to thank me."

Bear goes into the kitchen and talks to my mom. I think she approves of him. I know she's glad that he's around to take care of me. I just don't know how she'd feel about us dating. She didn't approve of my last boyfriend, but after what happened, I see why.

"Here you go. A big bowl of mac 'n' cheese," Bear says as he hands me the bowl and a fork.

"Thank you, Bear."

"No problem, sweetie."

I'm going crazy. Is anybody else hearing these pet names but me? I look over to Lillie and give her a look. She gives me the same look back and nods. Okay, so I'm not going crazy, but what brought this on? Is this his way of hinting at me?

"Thank you for lunch, mom," I shout towards the kitchen.

"You're welcome, honey. I know my mac 'n' cheese is your favorite and you deserve it."

I giggle. Her mac 'n' cheese has always been my favorite. She just makes it a special way no other place is able to capture. I feel like I need to talk to Bear. I want to be with him, but we just met yesterday. I'm scared to get so drawn into somebody again. I just don't want him to think I'm not interested.

I finish my bowl of mac 'n' cheese and set my bowl on the coffee table. I yawn and Bear notices.

"Are you getting sleepy," Bear asks me.

"Just a little bit. I might take a nap."

"Okay, one second."

Bear gets up and takes my bowl to the kitchen for me. He starts washing the dishes and my mom steps in.

"Oh, honey. You don't have to do that," I hear my mom say.

"It's alright. I really don't mind. You cooked a wonderful lunch, Ms. Mallory."

"Thank you and you can call me Adelaide."

My mom walks passed me and mouths "I like him" on the way to her office. I giggle and shake my head. Well, at least she approves of him. I'm happy she does. Lillie helps Bear tidy up the kitchen and she goes to help my mom in her office.

"Alright, let's get you in the bed."

Bear picks me up, bridal style, and starts walking upstairs. He sets me down in the bed and pulls the blanket over me. He tucks me in and makes sure I have my stuffed animal raccoon.

"Are you comfy? Do you need anything else?"

"I'm okay."

"Are you sure? I don't mind getting you anything you need."

"I'm sure. I'm all cozy."

"Alright. Well, I guess I'll see you tomorrow."

Bear turns to walk out the door, but I grab his hand. He turns around and his hazel eyes are met with mine.

"Can you stay with me, Daddy?"
