I pick Yrsa up to bring her to the living room. She wraps her legs around me and rests her head on my shoulder. I look down at the little girl in my arms. She looks absolutely gorgeous, other-worldly infact. I leave a gentle kiss on her forehead. She smiles and I feel it instantly warm my heart.

I go to set Yrsa down on the couch, but she whines and holds onto me tighter. I chuckle at the adorable action. I love that she wants to be near me.

"Let me set you down for a moment, princess. Then, we can cuddle in the bed after you open your gift."

She agrees and I set her down. I walk to the kitchen and fill up a sippy cup with cold water. I grab the box from earlier and walk over to Yrsa. I see her laid out on the couch. She looks so cozy. I just want to cuddle and kiss her forever.

"Okay, baby, I have some water for you and your gift."

I hand her the sippy cup and she drinks from it. I smile at how little and adorable she looks. My little girl. My princess. How did I get so lucky?

I hand her the box. She holds it in her hands and looks up at me. She tilts her head and gives me a confused look. I chuckle at her again. Silly girl.

"Open it, pup," I say as I pat her head.

She smiles at the new nickname. I sit down next to her and wait for her to open the box. She's gentle and careful when opening it. It's like her big heart is stuffed inside the tiny box. She finally gets it open and sees what's inside.

Yrsa squeels and throws her arms around me. I hold her tightly in my arms and smile. I'm so glad she likes it. She lets go of me and sits back, staring into the box with a big smile.

"Do you like it that much, baby," I chuckle.

"I love it, Daddy! Thank you so much!"

"You're welcome, princess. Let's wash it so you can use it tonight."

"Okay, Daddy!"

She hops off the couch and I follow her. We go over to the sink in the kitchen. I carefully take the paci out of the box. I put a small amount of soap on it and gently wash it under warm water.

I look back at my princess who is watching me intently, practically bouncing in excitement. I smile before turning my head back. Who knew a pacifier would make her this happy?

I turn the water off and dry off the paci with a paper towel. I turn back to Yrsa with the paci in my hand. She goes to reach for it but I pull my hand back.

"Open," I say softly.

She opens her mouth and I slip the paci in. She smiles and hugs me tight. I wrap one arm around her while my other hand strokes her cheek.

"Good girl."

She burries her head in my chest even further. I lift her head to see that adorable, blushing face. I love this girl so much. She's already become my whole world in a matter of days. It's scary, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

I pick Yrsa up and bring her back to my room. I set her down on the bed before going over to my side and getting under the covers. I pull the blanket over both of us. Yrsa scoots her way over to me and rests her head on my chest.

I play with her hair as I close my eyes. Her hand creeps it's way over to mine. She intertwines our fingers. I smile as my other hand moves down to rub her back. She cuddles in closer to me. It's not long after that I hear soft snores coming from her. I'm happy to finally have a little girl. My little girl.

--------------------------------------------------------------

I wake up to the sunlight slipping into the room through the curtains. I look down at the sleeping girl on my chest. I am so utterly in love with her. No words can describe it. She looks so beautiful and calm, like a fairy asleep on a mushroom. She's magnificant.

I rub her back as she continues to sleep. We don't have school today, so she can sleep in as much as she wants. I use my other hand to rub soft circles on her cheek with my thumb. Yrsa immediately smiles behind her paci.

"My adorable girl," I whisper, "I love you, princess."

She hums back in her sleep. A big smile appears on my face. She knows just how to warm my heart. Everything she does makes me fall even more in love.

It's then that I remember something that makes my heart skip a beat. I have to move back to Norway at the end of the school year. I'm hoping she'll come with me, but I can't ask her to leave her mom, Lillie, and everything she loves here. I just can't. I'm not ready to have that conversation yet.

I feel Yrsa stir beneath me. She knows something is wrong. Calm down, Bear. It's going to be fine. You don't have to tell her yet. Everything will be fine. I take a deep breath.

Yrsa wakes up and rubs her tired eyes. I gently pull her hands away. I bring her hand up to my lips and give it a soft kiss. She yawns and her paci falls out of her mouth. She whines and I put it back in for her. She instantly smiles.

"Good morning, princess."

"Good morning, Daddy," she says in her soft, little voice.

It's music to my ears.

"Did you sleep okay, love?"

"I did. M'bout you, Daddy?"

"I slept very good, baby. I had you next to me after all."

A pink blush paints Yrsa's face. I kiss her cheek then her paci. She giggles and it's the most adorable sound I've ever heard.

"Do you want some breakfast, princess?"

"Yes, please, Daddy."

I chuckle as we make our way to the kitchen. She holds my pinky with her hand as we walk. She truly is the most precious little girl ever. I'm so happy that she's all mine.
