Lili-Rose stayed in the room; she had exhausted herself with crying. She was curled up in the blanket as her emotions had worn her out. She didn't understand, didn't understand why he wanted to come back in her life. Didn't understand why.

She slowly brought eyes up to the door as it opened.

He sighed softly, the only words he could come up with was "Everything will be fine." He sat down on the bed, he brushed her hair away from her face "Look at you, it's certainly been lovely to be this close to you again. It was dreadful having to stand from a distance."

Lili-Rose's lower lip began to tremble; how long had he been watching her?

"Seeing you with other men." He shook his head "It wasn't nice to see that." He gently twirled his fingers around the ends of her hair "Seeing those men touch you." He scrunched up his face "It should've been me." The British Gentlemen squeezed the ends of her hair in his hand "You were supposed to be happy with me." His tone started to change to anger, he breathed out his frustration "Fine." He let go of her hair than gently tucked it behind her ear "it's okay." He reminded himself "Like I said, we'll start again." He leaned in to kiss her cheek, Lili-Rose tilted her head away.

The British Gentleman pursed his lips "I do have to ask though. Why did you leave me? It was our wedding day, you left me at the altar."

Lili-Rose stayed silent.

"We had the perfect life. We were engaged. We were in love, just kids but we were in love." He hated her silence "If you told me that you wanted to leave me, we could've worked things out. You didn't, you just left me at the altar." He gritted his teeth. "Answer me, Lili-Rose. Why did you leave me?"

Lili-Rose stayed silent.

The British Gentleman gave an impatient sigh as he rose to his feet "Fine." He looked down at her.

Lili-Rose wasn't sure if she should look up at him or keep her gaze away from him.

"I'll make us some lunch." With that final sentence, he left the room.

From her position on the bed, Lili-Rose peered down the hallway as she watched him turn into the kitchen.

She pulled the blanket over her head as she took in the darkness underneath the blanket.
