Chapter 26. Back again

The battle has been actively spreading throughout the whole empire for the past couple of hours now. The battlefield was as crowded as ever. However, the group was together and strong. Maraphima was also back now. They all decided to go fight and help places with fewer people and more soldiers. They all hopped onto Mabbo's back and flew off. From above the ground, you could really see how bloody it all was.

-God this looks absolutely gruesome!- Valerie shouted. -I know! It's awful, but this is the only way we can get somewhere in this battle.- Zalán shouted back. The reason for the shouting was due to the strong winds.

After some time they got to a place where there were fewer people, so they were getting ready to land. Zalán from up above noticed someone similar. He could only see the top of their head but it was enough for him to recognize. The person was in a very big need to help, getting attacked from all directions. They flew even lower and that's when Zalán quickly snapped out of his thoughts and held onto Maraphima's hand to take the lead of Mabbo. -Hang on! We gotta pick up someone!- They quickly started flying down and down very quickly. -ZALÁN!! SLOW THE FUCK DOWN I'M GONNA FALL OFF!!!- Valentino screamed like a girl from the back and held onto Mabbo's tail. He didn't receive a response. The moment they were close enough to the ground, Zalán made Mabbo pick up the person and throw it on its back. Gizmo grabbed onto him so he wouldn't fall. Then they flew back up and continued flying.

Everyone's hair stood up from adrenaline. They looked at each other, then at the man who they just picked up. It was Ceter. Zalán turned around and faced Ceter, letting go of Maraphima's hand. -Are you alright? You seemed really troubled down there.- Ceter took a moment to respond due to how sudden everything was. -I'm okay.- He looked behind him to see the royalties. -Ohh...You guys are still alive.- -Is that supposed to sound reassuring or disappointed?- Haze asked. -Take it as you want...- Ceter turned back to Zalán. -Thanks for saving me, I guess.-

-Of course.- Zalán said. Another 10 minutes pass and they all look down. They see themselves above The Nomidian empire's troop hideout. There were a lot of soldiers being rushed in and out of tents with bruises and healed-up scars. -Woahh. Okay now that I think about it, they aren't doing so well either. Just look at how many injured soldiers there are!- Gizmo said in awe. -Pff. I knew they weren't as good at fighting anyway. Dad wasted all his time training these idiots.- Echidna giggled out loudly.

While the others were talking about how badly the soldiers were doing, Maraphima could only focus on one thing. She noticed Kaupe was back at the hideout, with a lot of injuries, and he was talking to some of his soldiers. Then in the blink of an eye, there was eye contact between her and him. He immediately pointed up at them and shouted something at his soldiers. Maraphima instantly panicked and pulled Mabbo further away from the hideout. But no matter how fast they tried to get away, something still had to happen.

Mabbo let out an extremely loud screech which pained everyone's ears, especially Maraphima's. Haze, Echidna, and Valentino, who were sitting in the back looked down at Mabbo's back leg. There was a massive arrow piercing through it. -MABBO GOT SHOT!- Echidna yelled to Zalán, hoping he would have a solution.

However, Echidna couldn't get an answer in time as Mabbo started aggressively moving around, trying to get the group off of its back. -TELL HIM TO CALM DOWN MARAPHIMA!!- Mist yelled who was in the middle of everyone but was quickly slipping backward. -I'M TRYING!!- Maraphima tried getting Mabbo to calm down but eventually, she fell off of the wild animal just like the rest. Zalán and Ceter managed to stay on the creature but both of them were freaking out from the violent moves.
