Zalán woke up, laying on something soft he could barely open his eyes because everything just seemed way too bright. Then soon, everything started to clear out and he could hear and see better. He opened his eyes fully to find himself lying in a bed, surrounded by his team...more like his friends. Maraphima looked over at Zalán and felt her eyes fill up with tears.
-Zalán!-
She immediately hugged him, and soon the rest joined in the hug as well. They all started crying. Zalán was so confused about what happened but soon the memories came flooding back in. He soon started crying as well, both from shock and happiness.
-We thought you died, man!-
Valentino said wiping his tears.
-You gave us all a scare ha...Thank god you're okay...-
Valerie smiled.-Wait...but...what happened exactly? All I remember is getting to the castle's entrance.-
-Well, you passed out right in front of the entrance, we brought you over to Valentino's house...-
-Oh...--So wait, did you kill him or not?-
Mist asked skeptically.-...No. I realized what a horrible person I was. I killed everyone to get what I wanted. I left him to burn down with the castle...For how long was I out actually?-
-About...half an hour. The castle isn't on fire anymore. The little water creature and his friends managed to extinguish it with the help of others.-
Gizmo said.Zalán sat up a bit more and rubbed his eyes again. -Okay...now that Drakar is gone I'm assuming we'll have to make every demon learn to not harm the bright creatures.-
-But how?? They've been doing it for eons and the instinct cannot be tamed.-
-Because you haven't tried enough.-
Zalán cut into Valentino's words.
-We can make it if we try hard enough. We have to. After all...who would lead this empire now that Drakar is gone?--He's right...we have to continue ruling without Dad.- Gizmo said.
-I think that you guys will lead your own clans and teach each and every demon to behave...as for me and Zalán...-
Maraphima turned to Zalán and pat his hair.
-We'll take care of our own empire together.-
-Haha...I don't know how to rule. I think I'll just look after everyone and continue living my life as a human...-
They all giggled.
-I wonder how that will go after all this.-
Maraphima said with a smile on her face. Zalán smiled back and stretched.
-We should probably go outside. There are lots of people wondering if you're okay or not.-
Haze walked over to the other side of Zalán's bed and helped him up. That made Zalán a bit dizzy but quickly he managed to remain balanced.-Do you need help walking?-
Maraphima asked as she got off of the bed. Soon everyone doing so as well
-No no, I'm alright haha.-
They made their way to the door where Lumort was already waiting for them.
-Oh great you're alright!-
He smiled upon seeing Zalán.
-Would be a shame to see you dead after such a war.-
-I know...I'm okay though. Just a little bit dizzy from the smoke.-
Lumort stepped aside to reveal almost everyone remaining alive from the battle in front of the door. They all cheered for Zalán once they saw him okay. Zalán couldn't help but tear up and smile wider than ever before.-Hah...So...we really won?-
He turned towards Lumort and got a nod of approval.
Suddenly, Zalán's book, which was currently in Echidna's hands started to vibrate a bit.
-Zalán, Your book is...uh...-
She said as she stepped up in front and gave it to Zalán. Zalán raised his brow and opened the book. It emitted a very powerful and bright light, reaching up to the horizon and beyond. Everyone looked up in shock, not even noticing Zalán, who was being lifted up in the air by the book. He got a little scared not knowing what was going on.The book wrote out some sort of cryptid message in the air with unknown symbols. It glowed with strong bright orange and a calm ringing noise was heard once it finished writing. The light aimed toward Zalán and as it did so a massive shockwave swept the world. Causing the dark world surrounding them to clear out, making it sunny and healing up all the fallen soldiers, making trees blossom with flowers, and bringing more life to the empire. The shockwave was so big it caused huge wind, leaving the world shaken up. But as soon as it started, it stopped. Zalán slowly floated back to the ground with the book in his hand. He opened his eyes and the same bright orange aura cast around his face and head, making it seem like a halo with antennas.
