During the battle, Zalán got severely injured, trying to protect Maraphima. He had a demon tackled right onto him pushing his head onto the ground so he couldn't get up. He lifted his sword up high and was quick to cut off Zalán's left arm, the one that was already broken and healing up. It all happened so suddenly it even took Zalán a bit to react. But when he did he let out such a loud agonizing scream it could be heard many more feet away.  Maraphima who had dust in her eye from all the shuffling on the ground harshly slammed into the demon and picked up Zalán. She quickly got to the camp and put Zalán down on her bed in her tent. Soon Gizmo and Valerie came in to investigate. They both got extremely disturbed and shocked by the amount of blood there was. Zalán was still moaning and crying from the pain and Maraphima was panicking not knowing how to heal Zalán up. She tried the best she could but nothing worked.

-ZALÁN!- Gizmo yelled and got up to him real fast. He started investigating his arm while the other 2 stood frozen. -It's okay calm down.- -I CAN'T!! IT HURTS SO MUCH!!!!!!!- Gizmo thought quickly and then had an idea pop into his mind. He turned to Maraphima. -Do you know where his bag is?- -Uhm. Yes! It's in Valentino's tent.- -Well don't waste any more time and go get it!- Maraphima nodded and ran off. She came back with the bag and gave it to Gizmo.

Gizmo hastily took out the potion they have gotten from the tower and looked closely at it. He put it down then reached his hand out towards Valerie. -Valerie, give me the medkit.- -Whatever you're gonna do you better hurry up!- She gave him the medkit and stepped back.

Gizmo opened the potion and stirred it around a bit, then pulled Zalán's hand closer. -This might sting a little.- -IT ALREADY STINGS A LOT!! JUST HURRY UP ALREADY!- -Stop rushing me. If you rush me I might end up not succeeding.- He hoped for the best and poured some of the potions onto Zalán's arm. It quickly started to glow and you could tell it really hurt for Zalán because his whimpering got louder. When the glowing stopped the bleeding did as well. Gizmo, now relieved and confident that he guessed what the potion was for, turned towards Maraphima again. -Now heal up his arm one more time.-

Maraphima sat down next to Zalán and carefully wrapped her palms around the wound, trying not to touch the blood. She closed her eyes and slowly but surely healed up the wound so it wouldn't be so painful. Gizmo then opened the Medkit and wrapped some bandages around Zalán's arm. He got up and sighed.

-Is it better?- Zalán, who was still sobbing looked up and slowly nodded. -It doesn't really...hurt anymore, but...I lost my arm...This is unbelievable.- -Hey, look on the bright side. At least now you look badass.- Valerie tried joking around but clearly, nobody laughed. -You guys should probably head back to the battlefield and let Zalán rest.-  Soon after saying that she left the tent to go back to fighting. Gizmo pat Zalán on the shoulder and smiled.

-It's okay hero. Sacrifices must be made right?- Zalán smiled as well and watched as Gizmo leave the tent. Maraphima got up and helped Zalán get up. She gave him his sword. -I hope you can still fight...Or maybe you should rest. I'm not sure.- -It's okay, I can fight...- They both got out of the tent and continued fighting, Zalán a little more slowly with a bit of help from Maraphima.

-Where's The Emperor?!- Kaupe came running into one of the healer's tents with big bruises. -I don't know. He disappeared off of the battlefield over 2 hours ago.- -WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO THEN?!- -Just keep fighting. It's not that hard.- The healer was really frustrated at the moment but didn't want to yell. -I am NOT getting any orders. HOW ON EARTH AM I SUPPOSED TO ATTACK LIKE THAT?!- -Simple. Just do the same thing you've been taught all your worthless life and fight.- Kaupe got really angry and left the tent. He saw from the distance that soldiers were running back to the camp, especially his favorite soldier Mathias. He was flailing his arms in the air and he was limping as well. When he got to Kaupe he panted and struggled to catch his breath. -Sir, we need to retreat, there are way too many!- -We aren't giving up. Not until I kill that princess.-
