The group dropped Haze off in her own town. It wasn't so dull anymore, considering people were already waking up. Haze took a look around, felt a little bit nostalgic. She wasn't quite sure why she felt this way. Maybe because she would come here and hang out in the summer with Mist...or it was something else. Whatever it was, she couldn't remember it. Haze walked around for a bit in the town and kept her head down, hoping she wouldn't get recognized. After some time, she got bored of walking. She didn't feel like asking anybody here if they would like to join the team, they would probably laugh at her.So she decided to turn back and go where she was previously left off. She sat down on the ground and sighed. She sat in silence for some time, until something bizarre interrupted her thoughts. It sounded like cries. She turned around but saw nothing. Then she heard it again. And again...and again. Finally, she decided to investigate whatever this strange crying was coming from. She started walking towards the sound and minute by minute it got louder and louder. She stopped when she eventually got to a huge pit. It wasn't the bottomless pit, since you could see the bottom, but it was very dim. She raised her brow and crouched down.
-Hello? Somebody down there?-No response. Haze looked around and took a deep breath. She hesitantly took a step forward and floated down into the pit. Only her red triangle lit up this dark place. It smelt like ancient times, oddly enough. She bumped into something and looked down. Her eyes shot wide open to see a corpse. It was made out of stone though.
-What the fuck...?- She whispered to herself and continued walking around. More and more corpses were seen. Haze had no idea how these stone figures got down here, but she figured it would've been some sort of mystery from the past. Some stone figures were laying on the floor, eyes shut, probably died in their sleep. Some with eyes open, painful and slow death. All the stories she could make up in her head on how these demons died. Suddenly she heard something. She quickly turned around and saw a silhouette who fell to the ground.-Hey! Who are you? What are you doing down here?- She approached the figure, but it was stiff as can be. She raised her brow and touched the figure.
-Uhm...hello?- It quickly raised its head and stared at Haze. Its skin was cold, its eyes were nearly pale white, its wings were half broken off, filled with cracks everywhere, even its face. Haze took a few steps back and stared at the person. It looked like a girl. But she wasn't quite sure if it even was a girl or boy. The more she looked at it, the more its face changed. It tried saying something, but its mouth remained shut. It made an abrupt move and it was back on its feet. The poor creature could barely move, its body was extremely stiff. It tried approaching Haze a bit. It slowly reached out its hand to reach for the triangle but Haze flinched away.-Ayo. Calm down. No touching. Are you stuck here?- Haze asked and the creature nodded. It picked up a rock from the ground and wrote in the sand.
"Help me please." Haze didn't know how to react, she helped the creature up. -I'll get you out of here. Just I need to figure out how.- Considering not being able to bear the weight of the stone creature, she had to figure out a different way out. After a little bit of thinking and getting slowly followed around by the creature, Haze felt like giving up. -God if only there was an easier way.- She angrily muttered and leaned on the side of a wall. She might've pushed something because suddenly she, along the creature heard rumbling. She took a few steps back and a huge rock tunnel opened up in front of both of them. -Wow. What a cliche.-
The creature could only stare with wide eyes, but no reaction. It turned its head towards Haze and grabbed her hand. Being extremely inpatient it started walking as fast as it could, which was close to walking but even slower. -Hey, no. I'll take the lead. You're extremely slow.- She freed her hand from the creature and grasped onto its stiff arm. They both entered the tunnel.
