Houston, Texas . Asi's Penthouse .
Lilac looked up, seeing Jye trudge in the living room wrapped in a blanket.
It was around noon and Así had left already. He told Lili he would have stuff to do with his businesses and she didn't mind.
She wasn't here to stop his grind.
"He keep this house cold as fuck," Jye rasped, letting out a dry cough. "He don't feel that shit in his chest in the morning?" She huffed as she sat down.
Lili laughed at her sister knowing it was true.
"He say sweating piss him off," Lili chuckled. "So he can't sleep hot."
"Oh, I forgot he was crazy."
The girls giggled at Jye's silliness and Lili shook her head.
It's true.. I had to pick the looniest one out the bunch.
"Where he go?"
"He said the store with his Daddy."
"Hm. He said anything about us being here?"
Lili looked at Jye, seeing she looked nervous.
Living with Lindsay, sometimes you didn't have a home to go to when she decided not to open the door for her young girls.
They both knew how it felt to feel unwelcome in somebody else's home.
"No, just that he didn't mind. And he really doesn't, some people you can just tell," Lili nodded. "Plus, it's only temporary. He said he can help us find some places through his Uncle. So, hopefully they bring us something good."
Jye nodded, her eyes brightening a little.
"I'm glad I get to start all over. Even though Lindsay ass tried to make us have a hard time, she helped us switch our wardrobes, room decorations, all that shit," Jye laughed.
Lili laughed, agreeing. Life was better when you looked at things that way.
Lindsay did a spiteful thing to the girls but what was the point in sulking in it when they had the power to change it?
"That's true. Shit will always work out when you're a good person," Lili shrugged.
They heard a small bark and saw Bankroll trotting in for the first time that morning.
"Hey, handsome," Lili smiled, giving the dog scratches.
The dog stared at them for a moment, wondering why they were here and not in their home. After yawning again, he finally curled up between their feet.
"I really wish you would've let me beat Lindsay's ass," Lili huffed.
"Girl, you know I wanted you to. I wanted to do the shit myself but because she knew we were leaving she was gone call the police. And my sister can't go to jail."
