Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi Hotel.

The morning sun poured through the windows, causing Lilac to stir in Así's arms.

They landed in Malé late last night and immediately fell asleep in the hotel.

Luckily, they planned ahead and knew that today was supposed to be the day they celebrated his birthday out here.

Opening her eyes, Lili took in the scenery around her before her eyes fell on Así.

Smiling, she kissed him softly before getting up and walking to the bathroom.

About 15 minutes into her doing her morning routine, she heard Así start to groan and peeked out the bathroom.

"Lilac!" He groaned, feeling around on her side of the bed.

"I'm in the bathroom, baby," she called.

"Why you not in the bed?" He grumbled.

"Time to get up!" She beamed, walking over to kiss his lips.

Some mornings he woke up extremely irritable if he didn't get enough sleep or something was bothering him.

Lilac could tell when he looked at her that this was one of those mornings.

"You okay, Handsome? We on vacationnn," she squealed, kissing him again.

Así smiled but it didn't reach his eyes fully.

"I'm Ight, Bae."

He wrapped an arm around her waist and held her close as he picked up his phone, seeing all his overnight texts.

Lilac peeked over, seeing a message from a girl on Instagram that said 'Happy Belated Birthday Daddy 💋'.

Así and Lili read it at the same time and his eyes shot to hers.
