Sighing softly, Lilac lay in Jye's guest room as she rubbed her growing belly.
After two days ago when she told Asíel she needed a break, she'd been an emotional wreck.
Jye offered her guest room and Lilac gladly accepted. She knew her home would be the first place Así went to look for her.
Rima had told her he came by the shop looking for her today and was pissed when they wouldn't tell him where she was.
A small knock sounded on the door and Lili wiped her face.
"Come in," she called weakly.
Kentrell came in the room holding Jamiri and some ice cream.
"I brought you some ice cream, Jye said this your favorite," he offered.
"Aww, thank you," she pouted, taking it from him.
"Look at yo hair," Kentrell laughed. "Need to get out this bed."
"Kentrell!" Lili laughed softly. "I'm sad and you gone come in here talking about me? Gone make me cry again."
Kentrell laughed sitting on the bed.
"But nah forreal, how are you?"
Lilac shrugged, feeling the tears coming again.
"I just found out I'm pregnant with twins and left my Fiancée all in the same week. And I got a meeting with the wedding planner tomorrow for a wedding I don't even know is still happening or not. I'm not doin' good."
Kentrell looked at her and Lilac could tell he truly felt for her.
"It's okay, Lili. We got yo back. Just don't give up hope."
"You think I'm wrong? For leaving him?" Lili chewed her lip.
Kentrell scratched his head.
"Uh, nah. As a Mother, you did the right thing. Not only is this yo first baby but you having two and that's a lot of stress as is. You don't need the extra stress. But, Así would lay anything on the line to keep you and his kids safe. One thing about it though, this not just no selling dope or regular street life, Lili. What we do is the top of all that shit and Así been gettin' paid great money every hit since he was a teenager. This shit very hard to get out of."
"But, I feel like, once you branch off and begin businesses that you profit off of the same or more, you should leave the shit alone."
"I agree. He's talented as hell and got Adore and Jak's and now the recording studio you put in his hands. But, he could bring in a million a year from them stores. Off a hit he can double and triple that. But, it's not about the money cause he got plenty. It's about the ties he has. They always gone want his head if he get out or not, he's too well known. Too feared out here for these niggas to not want his head."
