Iseul's POV
The car stopped in front of a modern-ancient fusion restaurant. Getting down from the car Iseul felt a little awkward going in, as it would be the first the two foxes are alone after 600 years.
Entering the restaurant, Iseul noticed the number of people eating. 'There is a lot of people here...How is he going to talk in a place like this. As she was looking around, a lady wearing a white hanbok approached the duo. "This way please..." She said as she guided Yeon somewhere. Iseul was so busy looking around that she was left behind.
"Yah Lee Yeon-" She turned around to ask something when she saw the male fox missing beside her. Iseul being unknown to this place started frantically looking around for help when the lady returned. "Yeon-ssi told me to get you back..." The lady said. She took Iseul to a secluded area which consisted of personal rooms to eat.
Bowing to the lady, Iseul removed her shoes and walked into the room which she was told about before. She saw Yeon sitting behind the table enjoying his meal. She also noticed two more bowls of rice with their assortments of banchan. "Sit down. Eat come on..." Yeon told her as he was drinking the soup from the Samgyetang(Ginseng Chicken Soup) in front of him.
She sat to Yeon's left. Saying her prayers, she picked up the chopsticks and started eating her lunch for today. There was a long awkward silence between the two foxes. Yeon being the person he was, asked her question which was not supposed to be asked at the table.
"So...Why did you run away for Baekdusan?". This question made Iseul pause in between and look at the older fox for about a minute before she ate the kimchi on the chopsticks to place them down.
"I was in shock...and grief...after seeing the whole scene in front of me. I hated you after I saw the whole scene..." She told the older fox as she looked up to look him in the eye. Yeon had his eyes focused on the plates of banchan. Iseul continued, "I was planning and training to kill you...in the future to you know...That's the reason I ran away. I was stopped by Halmon. She told me everything, and I understood it a little bit but, I still couldn't get over it. So I told her to change my appearance...to stay away from my past".
It would be an understatement if the expression on Yeon's face was to be described as shock. His face showed a mix of shock, regret, and surprise. "You were planning to kill me...?" He asked Iseul. She nodded her head, picking up her chopsticks again she continued eating. "You know before I met you and Rang...Aheum eonnie would rant about you guys daily. Saying she had found people like me, she even told me that you will teach me how to live as a fox..." Iseul said with a small smile on her face.
"I did teach you. I even taught you how to yield a sword. You should be grateful to me...or you wouldn't be here today..." Yeon said as he flicked his overgrown hair at the back of his neck. Iseul looked up and chuckled at the older one's antics to make a person laugh. "I am...Hyung you remember the time you bowed down to me thinking I was Eomma but in her child form...? All of us were so damn confused. Aheum eonnie was red trying to hold her laugh inside and Rang being another confused child..." Iseul completed laughing the hell out of her.
