^^^Author's POV^^^

The shaman dragged an unconscious Jiah out of the house. She left the PD near the gate and opened the door to the little house where the female fox was tied up.

"After this human, it's your turn..." Shaman whispered and left.

It was slowly getting darker and the incense was starting to stop. The incense fumes were not able to reach Iseul. I weird force kept the fumes from reaching Iseul. There was a weird glow on top of Iseul which started growing, enveloping her in its hollow space.

The sphere was protecting Iseul from taking excess of that incense. A sweet voice filled the dark and small hut.

"My sunshine...my baby...get up...your friends need you..."

^^^Iseul POV^^^

She slowly opened her eyes. The bright light was not letting her see much but she tried. She could make out a vivid silhouette. The silhouette was creasing Iseul's cheeks softly. She could feel the warmth and love dripping just from that small touch.

"wake up sunshine~"

'Eomma?' Iseul thought as she heard the nickname her mother had given her when was a child. She tried opening her eyes to their fullest but they just won't open up.

"don't worry, I will always protect you sunshine~"

These were the last thing Iseul heard from the silhouette before it completely disappeared. She opened her eyes and scanned the surrounding. She was not sure of what it was but it made her realize that she needs to get the hell up from this place. She pulled her restrains hard to break free from them.

What Iseul forgot was that she was a fox. She pulled on the restraints too hard using the pillar to break off. "Ohhh shittttt..." she whispered as she removed the ropes around her wrists. She quickly moved out of the house so it doesn't fall on her head.

She walks out and starts searching for her shoes. 'The shaman might have hidden it somewhere to avoid suspicion...' Iseul thought as she looked around the place. She found her sneakers right under the elevated porch.

Pulling her shoes on she tries tracing either of the two peoples' smells. She knew both of their smells but she couldn't find either. Jiah's was not present on her radar, as if it had vanished. For Yeon, she could smell his scent, but it was faint. She tried following the faint trace all across the forest but couldn't find him.
