Stop Raiding My Heart

Chapter 4

     The two raiders used the elevator to reach FizzTop Grille. "Well you're not dead, so that's promising." Gage looked over at the woman. "Don't let them get under your skin."

       "That Will guy was kind of strange. Mason was okay and Nisha seems like a good woman to have on my side" Iza commented as she walked to a nearby couch. "So you said there would be a celebration in my honor tonight?"

         "Yes there will be. We should get ready soon. The Overboss shouldn't been late to her own party." He said as he walked over to Iza.

          A few hours later they began to make their way down to the center of Nuka Town USA, and into the Cola Cars Arena. As the party began the raiders danced and drank. Iza drank alongside her raiders. The slaves served the raiders food at the grand tables. The female slaves danced for the raiders. Iza and Gage stood on top of the railing near the arena. "Boss this is sure to earn some respect." Gage said as he took a swig of his drink.

      "I want these people to trust me. Are you enjoying yourself?" Iza asked as she turned to look at the man next to her. He nodded and looked at Iza.

       A few hours into the party Iza was down mingling with her raiders. "Boss come drink with us!" Mason called to the woman. Iza and Gage walked over to the pack table. "I bet 500 caps I can drink you under the table." Mason said throwing a satchel of caps on the table. Iza sat down at the table. She threw her own bag on caps on the table.

      Iza and Mason nodded. They began to take shot after shot. Ten shots in Mason puked. Iza took the caps off the table. The crowd cheered at her victory. She cheered with the pack raiders.

        Later into the evening Iza began to get wobbly. Gage caught her as she fell into his chest. He took her back to FizzTop in his arms. Iza began kissing Gage. Both smelt heavy of alcohol. He laid her in the bed and began to roughly kiss her. The night was a hazy memory to both Gage and Iza.

       The sun arose over the sunrise. Gage slowly woke up. He looked down and realized he was nude in bed, next to Iza. She was asleep, her arms were around his waist. He tried to wiggle from under her arm. She gripped his hip tightly,so he couldn't move.

        Iza awoke slowly. She looked at Gage. "Good morning." Iza said.

       "Hey boss" he said as he went to get out of bed. She grabbed his hand. "Iza we shouldn't be seen like this it's bad for business."

       "Come on Gage lighten up. I remember it being pretty good. What I can remember anyway." Iza said looking up at him. He sat back on the bed.

        "Yeah true. But I think it's best if we remain coworkers. We can still fuck around though. I don't do the who settling down thing" Gage said as he turned to face the over boss. She leaned into kiss Gage. He kissed back softly, Iza grabbed his cheek pulling him closer.  He pulled away and looked away from Iza.

       "Gage?" Iza said nervously. He looked at her. He got out of bed quickly. He did not say a word, he dressed himself. "Gage whats going on?"

       "Boss it was a drunken night. Passion or not I can't trust anyone like that." Gage said as he went to leave the bedroom. "We have work that needs to be done."

       "Yeah right." Iza said quietly as she stood from bed. She dressed herself. They walked to the elevator and lowered down to the ground. "Where first?"

        "Dry rock gulch it's not far from Nuka Town USA." Gage said as he walked out of Nuka Town.

"What do we face in there?"

"Blood worms and cave crickets. If you piss off the robots you have protectrons to kill as well." He said as they approached the large entrance to Dry rock gulch. "Ladies first." He said as he motioned for Iza to go ahead of him.

    The two killed all the worms and crickets throughout the sub park. They made there way to the roller coaster. Gage busted the door down. Iza led him through the ride's que to the boarding area. The floor had caved in. Worms jumped from the ground by the tens. Iza became overwhelmed with enemies. Gage shot them away from the woman. He knew he had to protect his Overboss. "Iza are you okay?" He shouted to her.

     "Yeah I think so. Thank you Gage." She said as she reloaded her gun. "I have a feeling they was not all of them." Iza said as she looked in the darker corner of the room. A large black creature wriggled in the dark.

    "It's the queen." Gage said as he shot the worm. He kept shooting until it was nothing but a pile of meat chunks. "That should be the last of them."

    "Good. I need a stiff one." Iza huffed.

    "First you must give this area to a group of raiders. It will earn their trust. Here I'll lead you to the flag." He led the woman from the roller coaster to the top of the buildings. Iza looked across the sub park. She raised the flag of the Pack. Later in the evening they returned to FizzTop Grill. "Fitting for the pack."

"Yeah I guess it is." Iza said as she turned to look at Gage. "Gage I'm sorry for this morning. I just... never mind."

"I heard you talking to yourself this morning. Who is Shawn?"

"My son. Well he was my son." Iza said as her and Gage began walking to Nuka Town. "I have nothing now. I guess I am looking for something to fill that hole."
