Stop Raiding My Heart

Chapter 5

     "What do you mean? You have nothing left?" Gage asked as he noticed her facing the ground. "What happened before you came here?"

"My son he recently passed. I searched the whole commonwealth for him just to have him pass a few day after I found him." Iza said. "He was kidnapped, so I searched day and night for him."

"Did raiders take him?" Gage asked with a slight hint of remorse.

She shook her head. "No, much worse. The Institute stole him from my vault when he was barley a year old." Iza said. "I worked with them during his remaining life....just so I could see my son. When I found him he was sixty. He was called the "Father". I ran his empire into the ground after his death. I blew it up from the inside."

"Boss how was he sixty when you said he was barley a year old?" Gage asked.

"I was frozen for two hundred ten years in my vault. During that time he had be stolen. I am asuuming it happened in 2265." Iza said. "I have no family left."

"We have something in common. Difference is I ran from my family at a young age." Gage said looking at his Overboss. " I left at the age of twelve. I was sick of watching my family roll over at the raider's will. I decided that was no life for me, so I left. Been on my own since that day." Gage said looking at Iza. She looked up at him. "We all have a story."

They arrived at the large structure. They rode the elevator to the top. "Night time radio?" Gage asked and Iza nodded. Gage turned on the radio.

"I wrote this song about love. My friend got his heart broken, he told me the story and I wrote this song." The man on the radio began to sing a song. It was titled "Quit raidin' my heart." As the song played Gage looked at Iza. She was cleaning her riffle. At the end of the song Gage walked over to Iza. She looked up at him. He sat next to her.

"Iza you are something else, you know that?" He said looking at her. He grabbed her hand, and she looked at him. "Iza you did not shoot me when you had the chance. You used your ammo to help me defeat those bugs. I mean I did the same for you but, no one else would do a thing like that. You fought alongside me instead of just letting me do all the work." Gage said. "I have watched you all day, you are what we need. You want the best for these raiders." She looked at him. "I know you have my back, and you have the backs off all your raiders. I haven't trusted anyone since my first gang. I know I can trust you. I have really enjoyed running with you."

"Gage I feel that you have my back as well. I belive we both know that we are not just running together." Iza said looking at Gage. She grabbed his hand. "Gage I want us to rule this raider empire together."

"I think we should give it a try." Gage said smiling at Iza. "I am honored boss." He looked at her soft lips. "This is not how I thought this conversation would go."

"I am glad this is how it ended." Iza said moving closer to Gage. "I am going to bed Gage. Feel free to join me." Iza said as she stood from the couch. She placed her riffle to the side of the couch. Gage watched her walk behind the room divider to her bed. Around an hour later a man entered the room.

"Red-Eye hey been a long time." Gage said.

"Gage old friend I came to meet the Overboss. Where is she?" Red-Eye asked. Gage pointed to the bed. "Oh she turned in for the night. I am sure she wouldn't mind a small conversation." Red-Eye said as he walked to the bed.

"Let her sleep. I can answer questions that you have." Gage said as he stayed seated. "Come sit and ask away."

"I don't have any questions for her. I did not go to the party. I have not met her yet." He said as she stood next to the bed.

"You'll make a bad first impression." Gage said. Red-Eye shook the woman awake. She moved quickly and held a knife to his throat. "Told you not to wake her. Boss this is Red-Eye he came to meet you." Gage said as he stood. She lowered her knife.

"Never shake a woman out of her sleep. You think a raider would know that. Anyway, I am Iza the new Overboss. I killed Colter."Iza said and Red-Eye looked her up and down.

"A pretty thing like you killing that monster. I cannot belive it if I didn't see it for myself" Red-Eye said.

"Watch it." Gage said harshly.

      "How can we help you?" Iza asked as she sat on the couch next to Gage.

"I just came to meet you. So, Iza what do you plan to clear next?" The man said.

"I have my eyes on the main parks then we will move to the other attractions. Last in Nuka World will be the utilty buildings." She said to the man before her.

"I will be narratoring your every movemnt." Red-Eye said as he stood and left the room slowly.

After he had left the couple walked to the bed behind the divider. Iza laid in bed first as Gage removed his clothing. He laid next to her and she cuddled up to him with her head on his chest. "He seems like an interesting guy" Iza commented as she looked up at Gage.

       "I've known him for a long time. He's a good one to have on your side because the raiders here listen to him. He gives them entertainment and that is important in suppressing the raiders boredom."
