Stop Raiding My Heart

Chapter 12

"Red, Mason please just go home. I am unwell." Iza pleaded. The two men nodded and left. "So what are we gonna do now? Shank hates us, Will hates us, his sister probably does too."

    "They don't hate us. They dont like the situation. They don't know what to do. No raider in Nuka World has raised a child. Well not without turning a profit that is." Gage said as he sat next to Iza. "They'll get over it when they see you aren't letting it stop your progress."

      "Gage?" She looked up at the male. He acknowledged the woman by wrapping one of his arms around her shoulder. "Do you hate me? Are you mad?"

       "Come on Boss that's a stupid fucking question. You're freaking amazing boss. I couldn't bring myself to hate you." Gage picked her chin up gently with his hand. "This may have been a surprise, but it's not gonna stop us."

"Gage you getting soft on me?" Iza snickered as she looked at the raider. He smirked.

       "When I'm around you I'm never soft." He chuckled softly. She punched his arm playfully. "What? You're the one that asked the question boss."

"So what do we do now? No doubt they will blabber across the park. You know how shit spreads here, like the plague."

"Sometimes you date yourself. Like the thing you just said, no one knows what plague that comes from." Gage has confusion in his voice.

"It was called the Black Plague. It killed a third of the population in Europe. Which is across the ocean, but that's off topic." She stood up from the bed. She shuffled to the balcony. Iza leaned against the railing, her elbows resting on the wood. Gage stood from the bed and joined her. "What are we gonna do?"

         "You're the boss. It's your decision." Gage placed his hand on her hip. "Nisha is not in the know. Not that we know of at least."

        "What if she tries to tear the baby from my inside? They have a habit of flipping people inside out."

        "Nisha is not cruel to those who earn her trust, only those in her way." Gage gripped onto the woman's side tightly. "She trust you so, you don't need to worry. She will protect you like you do her. You two have a great bond, I'm surprised she took to you so easily."

"Yeah I guess you're right Gage." Iza felt a smile tug on the corners of her mouth. "Its funny. The cruelest person in the park treated me better than the weaklings."

"You have a point. However she is not the cruelest in the park." Gage turned the woman to look at him. He picked her up with ease, and placed her on the railing. She looked at him confused. "What scared someone will see you with Porter Gage in a savory manner?" He chuckled slightly. "There is no point in hiding our relationship now."

"Well it wasn't a topic of concern until now. I think only Mason and Red really knew that we were a couple. Others just thought we were just friends with benefits. I've been listening to the raiders talk when we walk among them."

"You acting all high and mighty now?" She smirked as she wrapped her arms around Gage's shoulders. He kissed her gently. "Iza what the hell are we gonna do with a fucking baby?"

"I don't have an answer fully, but we will raise the child like normal parents would. I suppose. Well with a few raider differences." She looked down at her thighs. "I do know that the baby wont stop progress of this empire. We will not stop until everyone across the states knows who we are." She looked back up at Gage. "I want to visit the  Commonwealth before the baby comes. To see some old friends."

"We will see with your condition. I don't want to traveling too far from Nuka World the way that you are right now. I don't really know how to care for a pregnant woman or a baby, but I will  try my best." He shrugged softly. "Cant promise perfection though boss."

"I have no doubt that you will be a better father than my ex husband was."

"Where is your ex husband now? I mean you crawled out of the vault after two hundred years, who's to say that the pods didn't save him too?"

"I saw him get shot Gage. I know he's dead."

"Iza you were frozen for two hundred years and you're still young and beautiful. It obviously did something too alter your body. What if it stopped him from bleeding out? I mean did you see any blood?" Gage asked as he grabbed her hand. "What if he comes looking for you?"

"No I did not see any blood, but Kellogg shot him the chest."

"Do you still have your vault suit?" Gage asked as he stepped back from Iza. She nodded. "Where is it?"

"In my suitcase, why do you need it?" She asked as the older raider rushed to her suitcase. "Gage?" She asked as she hopped down from the railing.

"Some of these vault suits had bullet proof padding in them." He said as he felt the vault suit. "It seems your vault had it. Some riders would take the padding out to line their armor, added protection. This proves my theory that he could still be alive."

"If it makes you feel better we can go to the vault to make sure he is still dead." She shrugged as he looked up at her. "Its not far."

"It was 111 right??" He said looking at the faded golden numbers on the back. "You know this looks pretty form fitting. You could always take this off for me." He smirked as he played with the zipper.
