Stop Raiding My Heart

Chapter 11

     In the early afternoon the couple got out of bed. Iza got dizzy as she stood from the bed. Gage caught her, he sat her back on to the bed. "Maybe we should stay up here today." He suggested.

    "Gage I have work to do." Iza said in a annoyed tone. "I am able to work Gage."

    "Not if you can't stand. I do not want you to hurt yourself."

    "When I was pregnant with Shawn, I cleaned the house, cooked,did laundry and was still a lawyer. My husband only got help after I had my son." Iza muttered as Gage stood in front of her.

    "I am not him. I can do your job, you just need to sign papers." He said as he placed his hand underneath her chin. "I won't sign some documents, they wont accept my hand."

    "Gage we just got the mill, I cant just not work. I have to order a convoy for supplies to head there. I have to set up hours for the slaves there, send in a clean up crew. I have too much to do." The door to their bedroom opened and Mason entered. "I wish you would tell us when you're coming." Red-Eye entered behind him.

    "I came to see how the boss is. My raiders told me that she got a little sick on the ride, but they wouldn't say why." Mason said as he walked to the bed platform. "You look like shit." He said bluntly.

    "Thanks Mason." She said sarcastically. "I look my best right when I wake up."

    "So what's going on?" Mason asked as he crossed his arms.

    "Just picked up a few rads." Iza lied to the man. Red-Eye kept his eyes on Gage. "I will be back to my position in a few days."

    "We will see." Gage said as he sat next to Iza on their bed.

    "Gage can I talk to you?" Red asked.

    "What ever you say to him, you can tell m-".Iza was interrupted by Shank rushing into the room with Will. "Everything okay?"

    "How the fuck can you be pregnant!?" Shank asked with venom. "We have to much to do for you to have a kid."

    "You said it was rads." Mason commented.

    "We were trying to keep it between us. How did you find out?" She looked over at Shank.

    "A few of the raiders that were with you were talking about it. Doesn't change the fact that you have thrown away everything we have just got."

    "Nothing is ruined Shank. I still have plans to expand." Iza proclaimed. "The baby changes nothing. You will still have caps flowing from your pockets, as you do now."

     "I think you should get rid of it." Will said as he looked at Gage. "Get rid of some other things while you're at it."

      "Wait a goddamn minute." Gage butted in. "You will not talk to the Boss like that." Anger filled his voice as he stood up. He moved in front of Iza in a protective stance.

      "Why not Gage. It's not like you're the father, so what does it matter?" Shank said as he looked at the raider. "Will said he was the father."

      "Okay let me clear something up." Iza stood from the bed. "I would never sleep with Will. Gage is the father, he's the only one I have slept with in the past year or so. Though that is none of your business." Iza walked over to Shank. "This is our baby. His and mine. Not yours, so you don't get a choice in what happens to the baby."

      "Iza it's not smart to piss off a raider." Shank threaded. "It's in all of our interest for you to get rid of it. Raiders don't raise children, we sell them."

"I think you should watch who you piss off, because this baby is going nowhere. I am the Overboss, I make the decisions." Iza's voice was flooded with anger. "I think it best if you leave. If all of you leave."

    "Iza I didn't say anything I came to check up on you." Mason argued.

    "Mason do not start with me. Look keep this argument between us. I don't want my personal business spread across my empire." She turned to face her back to the men in her house. "You may return when you have a better attitude." She said as Shank stormed from the room, Will followed close behind him.

    "Iza, Nisha and I will be on your side. Baby or not, you're still our Overboss." Mason said as he walked closer to the woman. "I think Red-Eye is in agreement as well." Gage looked at Mason and than at Iza.

    "Iza he means no harm." Gage said as he moved to Iza's front. The woman began to stumble slightly. The three men rushed to her side. Gage sat her on the bed. "Easy." His voice was soft and husky. "This is how its been for a few days."

    "Gage." Iza said with an annoyed tone. "I am fine."

   "Iza that is the fourth time within the past two hours. You're pale and clammy. You are not fine." Gage's voice turned protective. "I told you, you need rest. I will handle the rest."

    "Do you want me to get some water?" Mason asked as he pointed to the bar. Gage nodded as the Pack leader walked to the bar. He threw a can at Gage. Gage caught it an poked two holes into the lid. "This is as bad as it gets right?"

     "I don't have an answer for you. It could. We have a while to figure that out." Iza shrugged as she took the can from Gage. "I don't even know how far along I am. There is like a month and a half window that it could have happened."

"You've been here for around a month and a half. Damn Gage you dog." Red-Eye said as he went to high-five the old raider. He just looked confused at Red-Eye.
