"I guess you're right." Iza sighed as she pulled herself into the buggy. Gage hopped in behind her. "I think we should still stop at Primm. Violet looks sleepy." The woman brushed the hair from her child's face. "Every day she looks more and more like you."

"I can't look like daddy! I'm a girl. He's also like super old" the child proclaimed. The raiders on the buggy snickered.

"Boss we just need to know directions and we can take off in either direction." The masked raider in the driver seat said, trying to contain his laughter.

"Go to Primm. The woman said go to Jean skydiving and then go right." Iza said as she got comfortable. "I think it's just down the road." The man started the buggy. The group began to speed towards the small town of Primm. Their convoy was stopped at the gate by a man dressed in tan armor. There was a bear on his chest plate.

"What's your business?" The man's voice was suspicious of the raiders.

"We're looking for an inn." Iza said as the man approached the back of the buggy.

"I've never seen someone have a vehicle like this. Where are you from?" He questioned.

"Far from here." Gage muttered under his breath. The man looked at the two year old between the two raiders.

        "Are you raiders?"

"We're more of a unit." Iza answered as she place her arm around her child. "Our daughter needs rest after our long journey. I would appreciate it if you did not stare at my child."

"Go on in, but if you cause trouble I will have to use lethal force." The man said as she stood to the side. The buggy rode slowly into the town, and parked outside the Buffalo hotel.

"Mommy! Look its a ride like at home!" The child pointed to the large wooden track. Gage smiled softly at his child, before he hopped from the back of the buggy. He picked the child up and placed her on the ground near his leg. Violet turned her back to her father as she looked at the rollercoaster. Gage then helped the Overboss out of the buggy.

"Come on Violet." Iza said as she held out her hand towards the toddler. Violet turned to her mother, and Iza picked up the child.

"You cant carry her forever." Gage joked as he looked at his family.

"I can and I will." Iza chuckled as the group walked into the hotel. A man stood behind a makeshift desk. "Hi we need a few rooms."

"120 caps per room per night." The man said. "I have three rooms available at the moment. And no loud children." He gestured to the child. "We don't get too many kids around here, so my guest would appreciate it if she was quiet ."

"She is always quiet ." Iza said. "One night and we'll take the three rooms. Gage pay the man." Gage unhooked one of his pockets and pulled out a sack of cap. He quickly counted them before placing them on the counter.

"Top floor, your rooms are 364,365 and 366. There is an elevator over there." The man pointed down the hall. He handed keys to the woman holding the child. The group began to make their way to their rooms. Once they reached the top floor Iza led her squad to the three rooms.

"Hey boss?" A female masked raider said. Iza turned around to face her. "If you and Gage want to enjoy yourselves while we are up here, we can watch Violet. Our main job is to protect her anyway. We all know you both don't need protection."

"That might be a good idea Iza." Gage said as he looked over at his girlfriend. "We haven't had a night off of parenting in almost three years."

"Ill think about it. We'll rest tonight and I will have an answer tomorrow. Here, three raiders in each room." She handed two of the raiders keys. "If you need anything I'm a door or two down." Iza said as she unlocked their room with her key. She entered the room with her child in her arms. Gage followed in behind her.

"Iza it'll be good to be a few hours without her attached to your hip." Gage said as he looked at Iza. "Even just an hour."

"An hour? More like ten minutes." Iza chuckled.

"Ten minutes?" The child looked confused. "For what?"

"Nothing Violet." Gage said as he sat on the bed. "I'm guessing she's sleeping between us tonight?"

"Yes. I won't let my daughter sleep on the floor." Iza said as she placed the child next to her father. "Gage do you trust the squad we have with us? I mean I trust them to protect, but do you think we should trust them with her?"

"Iza this squad is always with us. They want the best for Violet, just like we do. If they want to watch her, I say let them."

"You might be right Gage. Either way we should rest tonight. Tomorrow we journey to the Strip." Iza looked at the man. "Violet honey go get ready for bed." The child hopped down from the bed and excitedly ran into the next room. "Gage what would we even do if we were alone. I mean it's been three years. A little before that if you count Mason or Red-Eye." She chuckled softly.

"I can think of a few things." He smirked deviously at Iza. "We're in Vegas, we could go drinking, gambling, fuck it we could go for a hike in the fucking desert." He fell back into the bed. "Anything would be fucking fantastic." He sighed. "I love Violet, but no one warned me I wouldn't have peace."

"I warned you everything would change." She laid next to the man. "She's getting more independent, so she won't need us for much. Enjoy these years, they go quickly."
