Uloopi raised her eyebrow, was he really this stupid or pretended to be?
"Gandhar Raaj, we are Nagas, not killers. And yes, no Naga poison takes so long to kill if bitten. It only takes more time of its stored and kept." Uloopi replied.
"I save your son's life and this is what I get? Accusations?" She asked everyone, displeased at the fact that she was accused for the attempted murder of the person who's life she just saved.
She said and sighed, "Let's go Arya."
Arjun and Uloopi left before anyone could think or apologize.
"Arya, I want to leave for Indraprasth," Uloopi said, disturbed with the behavior of Kuru Family. Yudhishthir seemed to be the only sane person in that family.
"We will leave tomorrow morning?" Arjun asked, and Uloopi nodded.
While Uloopi layed down on the couch, Arjun said, "My mind doesn't seem to rest. I shall visit Mahadev's temple." He said, and Uloopi nodded.
Arjun thought that maybe some time alone in the temple of Mahadev would give him peace, and rest, but no, there was someone already present, in the dark night sitting under a tree, sobbing her hearts out.
Arjun saw her, it was a dark night an the woman was there alone, "Devi?"
"Arjun?" the woman gasped, and walked a few steps away from his eyes. "How did you know it was me?" Arjun asked. The woman did seem to look like a warrior, and but to be so specific? It was different.
"How can a mother not recognize her child?" she said.
"Mother?" Arjun gasped, what in the world was that?
The woman then explained the circumstances, how he born to her before marriage, "I love you a lot Arjun, and I did not want to abandon you. I am so sorry for what I did." she begged.
"It's fine mother," Arjun started. The woman gasped at his words and was about to turn but Arjun stopped, "Stop mother."
Arjun himself looked in opposite direction and said, "Mother, you had leave me for the sake of your dignity. And now if I would know your identity, I wouldn't be able to stop myself from meeting you again.
Thus, I want you to keep your identity away from me. Now that I know why you left me, and how much you love me, I would be happy."
Kunti nodded, and whispered a yes. His words made sense. But all she could think about was, he was so understanding and caring, and she? She left him alone at a tender age. Did she deserve him?
"Mother, for my sake, if you would leave your footwear, so I could have my heaven, your footprints with me?" Arjun asked, a few tears rolling down his cheeks.
"Yes, son." She immediately slipped off her footwear. Arjun smiled hearing the sound, "Mother, I am leaving this ring. It holds the symbol of Indraprasth. If you are ever in need of my help, just show the soldiers of Indraprasth this ring and they will bring you to me immediately."
Arjun said, and without even looking up took the footwear and left. If he had stayed a minute later, he would have been able to control himself from looking at her face.
"Putra, before you go. You must know something." Kunti said running behind him, "I had you through Indra Dev. He is your father. I called him using a mantra obtained from my austerities, and he gave me a son, you." She said.
Arjun nodded in acknowledgement, "Bless me mother," he said.
"When you were there was an Akashvaani, that you will be reason for Dharmasthapana in this Yuga. Your deeds will please the Tridev.
But the feat isn't easy, make the right decisions, choose Dharma over anything.
May Mahadev take away thorns from your way and put them in mine." She said."Mother, don't say. I would rather die, than to let you get hurt."
The thing that hurt us the most is the tears of our mother, the woman who gave birth to us with her sweat and blood.
"Putra, it is my because of my misdeeds that I could not raise you, let me at least have your problems," Kunti said, "You must leave Putra, I too have to go. My sons must be waiting."
"You have sons?" Arjun shouldn't be surprised, but he was, "How many?" He asked.
Kunti felt her heart drop, her sons hated him, and he disliked them too. "Many, you have many brothers," Arjun heard, followed by fast paced footsteps away from him.
Arjun sat down on a bench outside the Mahadev temple. His mind wandering over the thoughts of his mother, he felt he finally had peace. Knowing that his birth mother loved him, it was enough. He thanked Mahadev, for it was the abode of Mahadev he had reconciled with his mother.
All the stress he had build up in past two days drained away instantly. As if it was some magic that took it away. But truth remained same, he opened up about some of his feelings that were bottled up earlier.
"Indraprasth Naresh," came a happy voice, in the middle of the night? Arjun turned and saw the eldest son of Maharani Gandhari. "I have been looking for you." Duryodhan gave a genuine smile and stood infront of Arjun.
"I wanted to apologize for my uncle's word. He is paranoid.
You and Maharani saved my brother, and the way he treated you, it wasn't right." Duryodhan explained.Arjun smiled, this was the same Prince that stood up for in the Kala Pradarshan. "It isn't your fault Prince, I forgive you."
"Will you be my friend?" Asked Duryodhan. Arjun didn't say anything but pulled him a hug.
