Arjun, and his best friend Ashwatthama were riding towards Ayodhya. They rode in silence, which surprised Ashwatthama.
Arjun wasn't the one to chatter, but he would make occasional comments and random talks.
"Umm so, how is Uloopi Bhabhi? I saw that she didn't come to bid farewell, I mean which wife would come to bid her husband to a house where he has gone to marry again, still." Ashwatthama started rambling.
Arjun fell deaf at his words, he knew all of it, but once the situation was spoken, formed in words, he felt a better grasp at it. The sudden rush of realisation hit him like a train.
"No. I am not participating, I will just congratulate and return." Arjun spoke quickly. He did not fully comprehend, but still spoke.
Ashwatthama fell in his thoughts, Arjun might have just spoken something he did not want to- But his friend had taken it very seriously.
Politics! was very bad~
Arjun was a lone King between the royalty of Aryavart. He had no allies, except for Krishna and Dwarka. But he did not have foes either.
No one made him their enemy because he was student of Mahakaal, but no one made friends with him because he was a Suta.
This made Indrapasth a lone Kingdom, and Arjun a lone King.
And history is witness, any Kingdom with no allies cannot survive.Indraprasth might be sufficient, but there are times they lack, and need help from other Kingdoms; But as expected, no King is willing to associate themselves with Arjun.
Ashwatthama had already planned out something-
If, Arjun had married one or two princesses of some powerful Kingdom, they would have some, and then as time passes, more allies. Other than a marital alliance, no King would gather around Arjun, and that was a fact.Arjun's blunt denial worried Ashwatthama, if Arjun was not going to participate in Ayodhya's princess's Swayamavar, a girl from the one of the most powerful Kingdoms; How will they make any alliance?
Had Arjun won and married Ayodhya's princess, making him the son-in-law of Raghuvanshis. And that would have gotten him a higher place among Kings-
But that won't work unless he participates, which he just denied.
That was the momy, when Ashwatthama decided, that he would participate and win the swayamvar.
Indraprasth need Ayodhya, and it's support.
They weren't self sufficient.
They needed the society.
needHe closed his eyes, controlling a tear;
Parnika
The woman he loved with his heart and soul. And at that moment he regretted the 'Ek patni vrata' vow he took, for her.
But even though he hasn't taken any vow, he wouldn't have married her, she didn't deserve to be second."Desh ke aage kuch bhi nahi, khud bhi nahi." He said to himself and set forward with determination to win Ayodhya's Princess's swayamvar.
Fate must be partying, as the only thing Arjun had forgotten to speak to Ashwatthama was about Nayantara.
Ashwatthama would never even think, even in his wildest nightmares, to participate in her swayamvar, had Arjun told him about her.

Ayodhya:
Nayantara absentmindedly paced around the room, wondering what would happen in a few days.
"Rajkumari, Mahamahim Balram wishes to meet you." A maid spoke.
"Dau," Nayantara jumped in his arms, he would like her brother, and the best one.
"How are you?" He asked fondly. "I'm fine. You? And how is Kanha? And Vrushali?" She questioned.
"All of them are fine. Kanha is talking to your brother, and Vrushali is in Chedi at moment, she will join us soon." He said.
"What are you worried about?" He asked looking at her tensed face.
"Swayamvar Dau." She answered.
Balram smirked, he knew how she loved Arjun and he loved her as well. "You know, only three men on earth can fulfill your Swayamvar's condition.
First, Krishna, who won't participate.
Second, Ashwatthama, who is brother of Arjun, so I dont think he will.
And third, Arjun, your beloved.
Other than these three, no one can complete the condition, don't worry." Balram assured."Really, thank you Dau." She replied, feeling happy. She was worried that if, someone else competed and won?
"What is this I am hearing?" The two turned and saw Nayantara's most recent friend, Parnika.
"Panna," Nayantara smiled and jumped on her friend, using her nickname, Panna which meant emerald.
"Tara," Parnika giggled at her cute nickname.
"I am just happy, you know." Avadhi spoke, "Arjun will win, and I have heard that along with him, Ashwatthama is also coming." She remarked.
Parnika turned a little red at the mention of Drauni, she loved him since childhood, but never had the strength to confess.
And Ashwatthama, being an absolute idiot never got any hint of her love, and always maintained a distance so she won't feel uncomfortable. And his gesture only made her fall in love, more deeper.
Balram sighed, these girls ignored his mere existence with each other. Not wanting to sit and hear their drama, he left the room quietly.
"When Arjun will win me fairly, Ashwatthama will come to congratulate me, and at that time, I shall ask him about his feelings." Nayantara said, dreaming about herself and Arjun, and about Parnika with them as DrauniPriya in Indraprasth.
"Enough," Parnika spoke, blushing, "it's your wedding, I should be the one to tease you and not the other way around."
Nayantara giggled, "But I'm just matchmaking," She replied.
