*next morning*
I was awakened by the beautiful warm feeling of the sun on my face, what a great feeling to wake up to. I sat up in my bed and noticed a note on my side table, I reached over and grabbed it. It was a note from my mom
"Hey sweetie, didn't want to wake you but your father and I will be home for the next two weeks, we went out for a bit be back around noon.
Love mom"
I was pretty happy that the were finally home, I missed them a lot. I looked at my clock and it was only 10:30, I got off my bed and got ready for the day.
*90 minutes later*
I sat watching tv until my parents arrived, it was noon now and they would be here any minute. Than I heard the door unlock and my parents walked home,
"Mom!, Dad!" I yelled and I ran to go hug them. "I missed you a lot."
"We missed you too." My dad said as we had a group hug.
I helped them put their stuff away and we sat in the living room and talked about their trip and what I did when they were gone.
"So how was your trip to brazil?" I asked them
"It was really fun, we brought you back some stuff and something for Danny." My mom told me "and what did you do while we were gone?
"Nothing much really, went to the beach and movies. It's not very exciting."
"Better than nothing." My dad said
He was right so I guess I couldn't disagree
*Hour later*
"C'mon Kailey, we're going shopping." I heard my mom yell from the bottom of the staircase
"Coming" I yelled back, wonder why we were going shopping
I grabbed my sweater off my bed and went downstairs
"Why are we going shopping?" I asked her
"You'll see." She replied and gave me a smile,
I love shopping but my mom was acting kinda suspicious, I bet she has some sort of news.
When we arrived at the mall I asked my mom what store we were going to first but no answer, I'm starting to get anxious and a bit worried, why won't my mother tell me why we were here and what we were doing. I walked with her and the first place we stopped was the bathing suit store.
"Pick out four of your favourite pairs, try them on and we can buy them." She told me as we got into the store.
I spent a good five minutes just staring at the huge selection in front if me, knitting finally picked my four, paid and continue going to the mystery stores. I call them mystery store because my mom refuses to tell me. The next store we head to is Bentley,
"Here you look at suitcases, you can choose whatever one you want as long as it's under $125, I'll be looking at purses."
"Look at suitcases?" I thought to myself, by now I was super confused but did what I was told. I picked out a set of three suitcases with a cute print.
"Uh here mom, I picked out my suitcases." I told her
"Okay let's go pay." She said as we proceeded to the cashier.
We continued our shopping trip, than headed home. I put my stuff upstairs and got ready for dinner. I sat down at the table with my parents.
"Kailey, your mother and I have something to tell you " my dad said
Now a hundred things are running through my head, why did they need to talk, was I in trouble? I hope nothing bad happened, but why was I so worried I'm not a bad kid.
