As Paul continued running his fingers through my hair I could feel my eyes getting heavy and before I knew it I was fast asleep.
*Next Morning*
I woke up from one of the best sleeps I've had since I got pregnant.
"Mmm" I said stretching and looking over at the clock.
10:04 it read. I look over beside me and Paul wasn't there.
"I wonder where he could be." I said to myself.
I slowly got out of bed and got ready. Today was the day I was going to tell my parents that they were going to be grandparents.
"Paul" I called from the top of the stairs
"I'm down here baby." He called back to me
I slowly go downstairs, being careful because my back has been hurting lately. I go into the kitchen and see paul there.
"Where are my parents?" I asked him
"Oh they went out to get you some coffee, they said they would be back around 11." He said looking at his phone.
I laughed to myself, Paul and his phone.
"Well they should be back in half an hour, giving me enough time to grab some food." I said
I raided through the cupboard looking for pancake mix and chocolate chips.
After breakfast I sat on the couch with a blanket over me, just enough so you couldn't tell I was pregnant. Paul sat down with me. We talked about random things until my parents came home.
"Hello you two." My mom said as she walked in the door
"Hey mom." I said and smiled.
"Well aren't you going to come give us a hug?" My dad asked
"Well I actually thinking I'm coming down with something and don't want to get you sick." I said to lie, I didn't like lying to people especially my parents but they couldn't find out yet, it would ruin the surprise.
"Oh okay, well hope you get batter soon honey." He said
"Well what did you and Paul need to tell us? Must be pretty important if you couldn't tell us over the phone." My mom said
"Haha mom, you do realize that I am your only child and I do miss my parents sometimes since I moved out a while ago. And about that news, if you two came and sat down we would tell you." I told her
As they came and got situated in the couch in front of us and leaned of to paul.
"Do you have the card?" I whispered to paul
He nodded
"Okay" I said and took a deep breath and held Paul's hand. " we would of told you months ago but it had to be it person."
I handed them the card which contained a picture of my latest ultrasound. They open the card and took out the photo.
I looked at Paul and smiled.
"We're having a baby, you guys are you to be grandparents." I told them
I noticed my moms eyes start to tear up.
"Now before you say anything, I know we're young but we are prepared to be the parents to our baby. We don't know the gender yet but we get to find out in two weeks."
I get up and go give them a hug. "I'm not actually sick, it's just that if I stood up my baby bump would of gave the surprise away."
My parents went over and gave paul a hug, then I went over to paul and give him a hug as well.
"I love you." I whispered to him
"I love you too." He said then kissed me.
We spent the rest of the day out shopping for baby stuff. I had to admit I was both nervous and excited to become a mother.
Once we got home, Paul and I went up stairs to my old room and just spent the night watching movies like we used to when we first started dating.
