Chapter 15:

"Don't get it all over my toe." she laughs. I'm doing Heavens toe nails like she asked and she knows i dont like feet so im trying to paint her nails without touching her feet. "Just touch it Evangeline i dont have athletes foot." she groans looking at her painted skin.

"I'll remove it after im finished." i mumble trying to concentrate. Her legs in a sling elevated so i cant really paint it because it sways when she moves slightly. If i just held her foot it wouldnt get everywhere but theres no way im doing that.

"I want a design to." she says in a playful tone. I give her a dead pan look and she bursts out in giggles.

"Really?"

"Wha'chu thought this was a joke?" she asks mocking me and i stick my tongue out at her.

"Can i just give you the design on your nails and crackle your toes?" i plead and she shakes her head.

"If you crackle one you crackle all. I have to match Flower i do have a man now."

Looking back at her nails i ask seriously "How'd that go?"

"He took it better than i thought. A few curse words and threw the chair but he calmed down after i asked him to sit with me." 

"He blames me." i shrug when she gasps angrily. "It doesnt matter though because i blame myself."

"This was meant to happen Evie. God meant for this to happen. It was a lesson for mom and i. What i got out of it was i should have been living with you all along weather mom came or not i shouldnt have stayed. What mom got was that she should have put her child and God before a man. Don't blame yourself because i dont. I dont blame anyone because all this brought was good. It brought Blaze and i closer and us also. I'm living with you tomorrow." she gushes and i nod happily.

Yesterday was her second day in the hospital and my parents brought her a hug gift basket asking her if she would move in with us and of course she happily agreed. Blaze cam yesterday and i walked out when he walked in waiting in the waiting room untill he left. I've been missing school living here untill she gets out.

I know i have to forgive him or God will never forgive me but its hard. I never knew how hard it could be.

"I'm gonna have a talk with him."

"You dont have to Heaven it's fine."

"It's not fine. He blamed you for what my father did. You didnt kick and punch me. You didnt stab my mother in her stomach. My father did and thats who he should be blaming."

Heavens mother is fine well as fine as she can be. She wont be able to walk ever again the knife punctured her spine paralyzing her from her waist down. The doctors say she'll never be able to walk again.

"Are you going back to work when your healed?" i ask trying to change the subject because i can see her getting worked up.

"If they'll have me back. I'll probably be out a little longer." she frowns because she loves her job. She works at the churches daycare working with the children.

"They love you Heaven have a little faith."

"Oh i have all the faith a girl can have." she chuckle. A knock sounds on the door and we both look over at it. I rise getting ready to leave the room when Heaven speaks up. "You can stay Flower."

"That's alright just pray for me." I say giving her a smile. I dont look at Blaze as i pass him i just walk straight out of the room.

I go to the cafeteria and get me a cup of coffee sitting outside to watch the people. "Hello?" i ask answering my phone.

"Little one how's Heaven?"

"She's fine Blaze just got here." Dean grunts and i sigh, "Are you still not talking?"

"No, he blamed it all on you Eva and i dont appreciate that. You arnt the one that beat her down and he shouldnt have raised his voice at you." he say angrily.

"I know Dean but every ones entitled to their own opinion. He's one of your best friends and like your brother. You cant ruin that relationship because of me."

"I plan on spending the rest of my life with you little one so if he dosnt like you it's not gonna work."

"Well Dean i forgive him so you should to." I dint forgive him untill Dean just said he doesn like him if he dont like me. Him and Dean are liek brothers and im not going to ruin their relationship.

"How did you forgive him and you just left the room because he walked in.?" dean asks confused.

Sighing i say "Things just work like that i guess. Talk to him Dean and make up."

"Alright babe ill be over to see Heaven and you in a few hours." I tell him okay and we hang up the phone.

Sucking it up i walk back into th hospital and go to Heavens room. When i walk in they stop talking and look at me. I look at Blaze and say "I'm sorry for holding a grudge it wasn't very Christian."

"No, i'm sorry for blaming it on you. I was angry and needed someone to blame it on. It was no oness fault but his and i'm sorry."

"It's fine Blaze."

"Just dont do it again." Heaven adds giving him a stern look.

"Hey pretty ladies." Dean says when he opens the door.

"Hey handsome." I greet getting up to hug him. He give me a tight hug like always and kissed my forehead.

"Hey Dean." Heaven greets with a giggle. "I should have known you were going to be here."

"Who wouldnt want to be with you beautiful ladies?" Dean asks taking my chair. I frown at him and he pulls me onto his lap.

"I dont want to be here." Heaven states she hated the hospital and she wants to go home.

"Tomorrow." i laugh.

"Are you going to finish my toes or what?" she demands looking at the finished foot and the unfinished foot.

"Do i have to?" i complain and she nods her head slowly.

"We already went over this Evangeline and im not joking. Paint my toes."

"Their just so nasty and ugly." I complain as she wiggles them laughing. "Do you wanna paint them?" i ask looking at Dean and he shakes his head amused.

"She'd have polish all over her toes."

"Not like i already dont." Heaven mumbles shooting me a look.
