Chapter 22

Naruto's POV

Yahiko has a child! Noticing my reaction Yahiko chuckles. He says,"Is it that much unbelievable to hear?" I tell him,"No, it isn't but it's just I didn't expect it."

Konan says,"I'm rather surprised that Yahiko opened up to you about him having a child." I ask them,"Why? Is that supposed to be a secret?" Konan replies,"No, this for security purpose. The child is registered as the only heir of Yahiko's family."

Konan turns to Yahiko and says,"You should visit him sometimes. He asked for seeing you." Yahiko smiles and says,"Tell him I'll be there after I finish my work. I'll be calling him tonight." Seems like Yahiko is a good father.

Konan gets up. She says,"It was nice meeting both of you. Yahiko, meet me personally after you clear your schedule. We need to have a chat." Saying that she turns her back and makes her way outside leaving me and Yahiko here alone.

"She's a powerful lady isn't she?" Yahiko says eyeing Konan until she left the room completely. I tell him,"Yes, you make a nice couple." Yahiko says,"Well we are not a couple. She has nothing to do with me except for being the woman who carried my child inside her womb."

I'm confused and can't understand what their true relationship is. Yahiko takes another glass of alcohol and takes a sip. He says,"I don't want her, I don't have any intention to marry her as well. She helped me because she's my childhood friend and gave birth to my son."

It's so confusing and complicated that the relationship they have sounds so unrealistic. I ask him,"What about your son? Where does he live right now?" Yahiko replies,"With my parents. I don't have time to look after him and Konan isn't suitable for being a mother."

I sigh. I hope his son is doing well. Yahiko comes a bit closer,"Why? Are you worried about my son?" I frown and tell him,"I was just curious." Yahiko ignores my answer and says,"If you were a woman, you could give a man a beautiful child." He touches the corner of my lips.

He's now creeping me out. How can he even think of me like that? Or can joke like that? I push him away and tell him,"Aren't your son beautiful?" Yahiko smirks. He says,"Yes he is."

I take my phone into my hand and send a text to Sai about him coming here. Being in the same room with Yahiko is making me feel suffocated. I don't know why I feel like being on edge every time whenever I am with Yahiko alone.

He seems so sly that I feel like I can be robbed totally any time. Sometimes he reminds me of Sasuke but Sasuke is just what they call 'dangerous'. But I can't describe Yahiko like that. His personality is just confusing.

After a few minutes Deidara and Sai appears. Deidara smiles right after he sees me and Yahiko sticking together. Deidara says,"Seems like something was going on." I roll my eyes and tell him,"Nothing was happening. Where were you?"

Sai says being a bit flirtatious,"Why? Were you missing me?" I tell him,"I'd never. When are we going to leave?" Sai says chuckling,"Is this place that boring? I and Deidara were having fun together surprisingly."

I tell Sai,"I told you that I have something to do today." Yahiko speaks,"It hasn't been long since we came here. I want to buy you dinner Naruto."

Deidara says shamelessly,"Will you buy us dinner as well?" Yahiko says,"If you want to join then I'll have no choice." I tell Yahiko being a little annoyed,"You are a pushover no matter what anyone says." In response to it he just chuckles.

I came here with them once again against my will. After today I'm not going to see Yahiko again anyway. The restaurant Yahiko took us to looks really expensive. Yahiko says smiling,"Don't be shy and eat a lot. This restaurant belongs to me."

Seeing Yahiko the staff members came and also the main chef. Yahiko seems so nice to all of them and everyone was like in love with his behaviour. All of them left bowing their heads like Yahiko is a prince. Is Yahiko that much of a nice person for real?

Deidara says,"I wonder if any paparazzi is here." Yahiko says,"Don't worry. This place is under security and nobody suspicious can enter this place hiding their identity." Deidara looks impressed. He says,"The Yahiko I was imagining is a lot different than you."

Yahiko asks Deidara smilingly,"What were you thinking about me? I'm curious." Deidara says,"You don't come in front of the camera that much so I wasn't so sure about you. I thought you had a scary personality and you'll always be holding a gun with you to kill someone instantly who is in your way of selling illegal things."

Sai laughs. He says,"He basically thought you are some kind of Yakuza." Yahiko says to Deidara,"Your imagination is vivid I assume." Then he turns to me. He asks me,"Do you think of me like this as well? You always seem to ignore me."

Yahiko caught me, he understands that I'm always trying to ignore him. I try to make up a lie trying not to look rude to them. I tell him,"There's no reason for me to ignore you. I'm not even your friend."

Yahiko comes a bit closer and says with a hearable tone,"Never I said that I want to be your friend Naruto." I felt my stomach being a little weird. This man is giving me weird vibes and sending me mixed signals.

After finishing eating the chef came himself once again. A lot of people around the restaurant was drooling over our table. I know this table is filled with attractive males. I'm pretty sure some of them recognised the known faces around the country who are here with me.

Yahiko takes out a black card. Obviously he has that card. This black card isn't something that just anyone can have. If you have this card, it means either you are extremely powerful or you are super rich.

The chef says being polite,"No! You don't have to pay sir. This restaurant is yours." Yahiko smiles just like he always does. He says,"I know but I would still like to pay. Go and take all the staffs to have some drinks. Work can be hectic I know."

The young chef is almost blushing now. He says bowing his head again being respectful,"You are kind as ever sir! I want you to have a drink with me someday if you have time." We can see through the chef, he already likes Yahiko. Yahiko says,"Of course."

Saying that Yahiko gets up. He says turning to us,"Go ahead and I'll be paying." All of us make our way outside. Deidara says while we were waiting for Yahiko to come out,"No wonder his classmates used to call him prince." Sai smirks. He says,"Not every prince is good Deidara."

Yahiko comes out soon. He was fixing his coat and he has shades on now. Yahiko looks like a young businessman who can stand out among a crowd perfectly. His appearance is so neat that he glows. I can't help but admire him sometimes.

Yahiko says,"I'll ask the driver to drive you guys to your homes." I remember I can't tell them about me living with Sasuke Uchiha. I speak,"I'll have to part right from here. I have somewhere else to go." Sai looks at me with a questioning look.

I quickly scurry to Sai and grab his arm. I tell Yahiko,"I'll be lending Sai from here. Drop Deidara off if you don't mind." Yahiko's smile vanishes. Somehow his facial expression seems different now.

I start to pull Sai with me. Yahiko is still standing there looking this way and Deidara is dumbfounded. Sai is the one who dragged me here and he's the only one who knows about me living with Sasuke Uchiha. So he'll have to take responsibility.

I tell Sai after we got lost from Yahiko's sight,"The truth is, I don't have any work to do. Just drop me to Mr. Uchiha's apartment. Sai says,"But I didn't bring my car with me." I tell him,"Take a taxi or something. If I had money I wouldn't drag you with me."

Sai took me to Sasuke's apartment and left right away. I didn't plan on hanging out with them today. It's not like the day was that bad. I hear my phone making a sound and soon I see a text floating on the screen. It's from Kiba. The text says,"Pick me up from the airport tomorrow. I'll be coming to Konoha."
