Chapter 38

Naruto's POV

I am carrying the last bag that was left in the apartment that needs to be thrown into the car. With this, I'm all set to leave this building finally after living so many months here. Surprisingly I'm going to miss this apartment even though once it was anything but a home for me.

Sasuke is behind me as I was checking if I have taken my belongings properly or not. It's been quite some time, we didn't speak. I purposely tried to avoid eye contact too as I'm afraid that he'll know that I'm not willing to leave.

The driver is waiting on his seat for me to go into the car. I was about to take another step but Sasuke's voice stops me. He says,"Are you sure that you didn't leave anything here?" I sigh. I tell him not turning my back,"I'm sure I didn't. Even if I did, I won't come to look for it. I'll call you to send it back to me."

Sasuke says,"So this is it then." How cruel. I kept myself silent as talking to him feels painful. I doubt that Sasuke would even come to have sex with me like before. This is so shameless of me.

Sasuke says,"Will you not say anything to me?" That surprised me. I tell him,"What is there to say now? It's not like we'll stop connecting totally." Sasuke says,"Yeah. You will call me right after reaching. Don't forget." I tell him,"I won't."

Before I could open the door, I hear him talking once again. He says,"Turn around for some time." I frown but eventually I turned around to look at his face. Sasuke lowers his head and plants a kiss on my lips. I flinched and looked back at the driver.

Seeing my reaction, Sasuke says,"He won't talk about it." Still how can he be sure? Sasuke says looking into my eyes,"Why do you look so gloomy? Don't you want to leave?" I avert my gaze and fixate it on my nails. I tell him,"That's not it. And the validity of the contract will end soon anyway."

He says closing the gap and putting his forehead against mine,"That's right." He closes his eyes and sighs as if he's so tired. He says,"After that, we won't ever see each other like that. I'll clean this mess in the meantime. I'm partly responsible too."

The car has gone far away leaving the place where I used to live with my benefactor. Life was like a heaven with him. A luxurious place to live, my dream career and living with the person I have feelings for, I had everything just as I dreamt. But everything has gone crushed.

After some more minutes the driver takes a turn taking us into another rich residential area. The driver drives the car to another building. I ask him,"Is this it?" The driver is also in charge of taking me to the new apartment.

The driver helps me out to carry all my baggages. Opening the door with the key card, I see a new apartment all new and untouched. Can I live in this huge apartment all by myself? The driver says after finishing the work assigned by Sasuke,"Is there something you'd also want me to do Mr. Namikaze?"

I tell him,"No, I'll do everything from here. Before going, would you like to have some coffee? I can make the instant one." The driver says,"No, it will be fine. I'll send your car in the meantime." The driver left the apartment. Maybe I don't really want to be alone.

After organising my things into the apartment tidily, I thought of relaxing. Now I will be able to invite Kiba or anyone in this apartment as I won't be sharing this apartment with anyone. Then I remember, I was told to call Sasuke Uchiha right away.

I take my phone out of the backpack and dial his number which was on the top of my contract list. After a few seconds he receives the phone call and I hear his voice. "Hello, Mr. Namikaze?"

"Yes, I am late to call." I said. Sasuke says,"Alright, do you seem to have any problem?" I tell him,"I just came. I can fix any problem by myself." Sasuke says,"Okay. I'll come if I have free time. No need to think of money. I'll give you a credit card when I stop by." Saying that he hangs up the phone dryly.
