Alex POV

After 6 and a half hours, I finally arrived in Annecy. I looked around and saw soldiers armed and showing pictures of me to the public.

"Anyone who knows the location of Le Loup, step forward!" A man in a black armoured bodysuit with a bladed shield on his back shouted at the crowd.

I tugged my hood over my head and walked away.

"You there! Stop!" A solider called out.

"Merde!" I cursed silently. He turned me around and yanked off my hood and scarf. His eyes widened as he saw my face.

"It's him, Alexander Pierce! I found him, boys!" He shouted. His men surrounded me.

"Looks like we finally got you. Hawkmoth will be pleased." One of them said with a smirk.

"You'll be leaving empty handed." I said and kicked the man in the jaw, breaking it. He collapsed onto the ground. His men darted towards me. I punched, kicked and somersaulted as I fought Hawkmoth's soldiers. One tried to stun me with his taser but I grabbed his arm, threw him over my shoulder and kneed him in the arm, breaking it.

"STOP!" A solider shouted as he held a 6 year old girl at gunpoint.

I turned and scowled at him.

"Using a child as a shield? That's low." I said.

"Shut up, brat! Surrender or the kid dies!" He shouted. The child sobbed.

"My daughter! Let him go!" A woman pleaded.

"I got a better idea." I said and threw my boomerang at the soldier's  gun, knocking it out of his hands. I ran forward and dropkicked the guard in the chest. His head hit the ground and he lay unconscious on the ground.

"You're safe now, enfant."  I said. The woman hugged her daughter tightly.

"Thank you. You are truly a hero, Le Loup." The woman said with a smile.

"You're welcome." I said. I saw a group of soldiers run towards me with their weapons drawn. The crowd stood in front of me.

"Go on, Le Loup. We'll hold them off." A man in his forties said.

I nodded with thanks and ran towards the exit as the crowd cheered.

"Hawkmoth, you're going down. Just you wait." I muttered to myself as I pulled on my mask and raced towards the train station.
