Alya POV
Nino and I sat at the table along with Juleka, Mr Damocles and Luka, sipping our tea and listening to Alex's story.
"It's a lot to take in. You being falsely accused of Mayor Bourgeois' murder. The rings. And now our best friends are working for Hawkmoth." I said.
"Yeah. Not too mention the Mayor is dead. And Hawkmoth is now a king." Nino added.
"I'm still a little lost on the fact that Hawkmoth is alive. How is that possible?" Damocles asked.
"It's a long story. But now, we must plan our attack on Hawkmoth." Tina said.
"This sounds more military than vigilante. Are you sure we can take on Hawkmoth?" Juleka asked.
"Now that you mentioned it, we don't have the Ladybug miraculous so that we can devilise the akumas." Alex said.
"Or repair all the damage caused by said akumas."Luka added glumly.
"Still, it's better than sitting around and waiting for the enemy to be knocking at our doorstep." Ivan said as he looked out of the window.
"Yeah. Not to mention that uncle of mine is nothing more than a tyrant." Felix added with distain.
We murmured in agreement. Ivan signalled us to be quiet.
"What is it?" Mylene asked.
"I think we got company." Ivan said.
"Who? The mercenaries?" Alex asked as he tugged on his mask and picked up his kali sticks.
Ivan's eyes widened.
"No. Even worse. GET DOWN!" He shouted.
We dived onto the ground as bullets punctured the walls, destroying everything in their path. We huddled whilst waiting for the bullets to stop. After 5 minutes, they stopped. We got up from the floor and went outside.
"Where did they come from?" Mylene asked.
Alex looked up at the roof and gasped.
"Guys. Ivan's right. We do have company. And it's not the mercenaries." He said.
We looked up and saw the Cat and Bug duo along with a masked gunman.
"Marinette and Adrien." Mylene gasped.
"Rodrigo too." Tina added.
"How did they find us?" Juleka asked.
"It's thanks to the homing device Milady placed on Luka." Chat Blanc said.
Luka rifled in his pockets and pulled out the beacon.
"Oh no." Luka gasped.
"Once we beat you, Hawkmoth will be pleased for all of to join his army. Except you, Alex." Dark Bug said as she pointed at Alex.
"Let me guess. He hates my guts, right?" Alex asked.
"No. You have murdered Mayor Bourgeois." Chat Blanc said.
"What about Alya? Wasn't she accused of murdering Lila's mother?" Alex asked.
"True. But she said she will repent by serving Hawkmoth till the end. A vow she broke." Dark Bug said as she scowled at Alya.
"Alya. Take Nino, Luka, Juleka and Principle Damocles down to my workshop and hide. We'll handle this." Tina said as she drew her bow.
"What!? No! We want to help!" Alya shouted.
"I'm not sure if we can hide. We got company." Felix said as he pointed to a large group of mercenaries heading our way.
"Get going! We'll handle this." Ivan said as he twirled his mace.
"Damn it. Be careful!" Alya said as he lead the others away from the fight.
"Felix, Ivan and I will deal with the mercenaries and the gunman." Mylene said.
"Then we'll deal with the trio." Alex said.
We darted towards our opponents.
