Chapter 12: The Vigilante couple vs the Cat and Bug duo

Alex POV

"I got Chat Blanc. You deal with Dark Bug." I said as I dodged Chat Blanc's claw. Tina nodded and darted towards Dark Bug.

"Still playing the hero, Alex? I can see why my father despised you." Chat Blanc taunted as we traded blows.

"I'm playing anything, Chat Noir. You of all people should know that." I answered as I struck my kali stick at his jaw, knocking him backwards.

"That's Chat Blanc to you, Pup." He growled as he swiped his claw at me. I ducked and kicked him in the shin. As he fell, he flipped back onto his feet and kicked me in the chest. I fell on my back and rolled out of the way as his fist struck the area I was on.

"He's stronger than before. Thanks to that damn akuma." I thought to myself as I dodged his attacks. 

Tina POV

Dark Bug aimed a kick at my face. I blocked it with my bow and pushed her backwards. She gracefully backflipped and landed on her feet with a smug look on her face. I fired arrow after arrow at her. She dodged and parried all of them and threw her yo-yo at my bow, knocking it out of my hand.

I cursed and pulled out my folded bo staff. She summoned a sword and charged at me. Our weapons clashed as we engaged in a dance of death. We exchanged blows, dodging, parrying and countering each others attacks. 

"Give up, Blue Archer. You can't win." She said as she swung her sword at me. I blocked it with my staff.

"Not a chance in hell, Dark Bitch!" I shouted and planted my foot on her stomach, knocking her backwards. I raised my staff again and swung down with all my might. 

"You should've surrendered." She said and blocked my staff. She smiled as she saw the shock on my face. She jabbed the hilt of her sword at my stomach and kicked me aside. I tumbled onto the ground. My staff skirted across the ground. I felt a blade pressed against my back.

"Give up." Dark Bug said.

I heard a painful grunt and saw Alex land on the ground. His trench coat was tattered and covered in torn claw marks. While his mask is covering his face, I could see the pain in his eyes.

"Any last resorts, Al?" I asked.

"Not really." He said.

Cat Blanc pulled out a ring bearing Hawkmoth's symbol. He grabbed my wrist and tried to force me to wear it.

"Hold still!" He ordered. Alex tried to get up  but was pinned down by Dark Bug.

"It's over." She said.

Before Chat Blanc could put the ring on my finger, a bullet knocked it out of his hand. We looked and saw Felix holding Rodrigo's gun in his hand. 

"That was close." He sighed. Rodrigo wacked the hilt of his sword at his neck, knocking him out.

While his guard was down, I kicked Chat Blanc in between his legs. He grunted in pain and clutched his jewels. I pulled out a smoke arrow from my quiver and tossed it to Alex. He caught it and sprayed the smoke into Dark Bug's eyes.  

As she tried to regain her eyesight, Alex grabbed her by the wrist and threw her onto the ground. As Alex held her wrist, he removed the ring and crushed it with his boot. Freeing the akuma.

"MILADY! YOU'LL PAY FOR THAT!?" Chat Blanc shouted as he darted towards Alex. His hand glowed white.

I quickly picked up my bow and fired a flash arrow at his feet, blinding him. Alex kicked Chat Blanc in the face, knocking him out. Carefully, he used his Cataclysm to destroy the silver ring in his right hand along with the akuma. The pair changed to their normal selves.

"That did it." Alex panted. 

"Not quite." Rodrigo said and fired a bullet at me. I managed to dodge the bullet but it scraped my stomach, leaving a large bloody gash on the side.

"T!" Alex exclaimed as he held my wound.

"It's ok. The bullet grazed my stomach." I said, trying my best to ignore the pain.

Rodrigo pointed his gun at us. Alex stepped in front of him.

"You want her. You'll have to go through me." He said.

"That can be arranged." A voice behind us said.

Before we could react, a sword plunged into Alex's stomach. I could only watch as my boyfriend's shocked expression as he saw a man with a similar outfit to his ripped the sword from his stomach.

"Damn it." Alex coughed and fell to the ground. His body remained still. 

"ALEX!?" I shouted as I crawled towards him and removed his mask. His eyes were open but filled with pain.

"T. Run." He said as he coughed up some blood.

Before I could say anything, I was grabbed by Rodrigo and dragged away from Alex.

"Rodrigo. Don't you know what are you doing!? Silver Bullet! Answer me!" I shouted.

"It's Black Bullet now. And I work for Hawkmoth now." He said. And with that, he struck the base of his gun at the back of my head, knocking me out.

Alex POV

All I could see was my friends being dragged away and Ladybug clutching onto the wound on my stomach.

"Hang on, Alex. We're going to get you to safety. Chat! Help me get him inside!" She shouted.

"You got it." He said as he helped carry me into my house. They set me onto the bed. Adrien raced to the bathroom and found a first aid kit.

"Alex, try not to move. I'm going to add antiseptic onto the wound.  I nodded and gritted my teeth as Marinette pressed the antiseptic onto the wound. She managed to clean the wound as best as she could.

Before I realised, I felt my vision fade away.

No.

I can't die here.

Tina. Felix. Mylene. Alya. Nino. Ivan.

They need me.

I tried to stay awake but my body gave up. 

After that, I passed out.
