Ash POV ~
I held Gary's hand tight as we made our way to the huge entrance of the arena. The white marble stones it was made of reflected the summer sunlight so bright it blinded my eyes. But as soon as you got used to the amount the light you could see how beautifully imposing the building is.
Gary pulled me a little to the side, into the shadow of a tree. "Are you ready for this babe?" Since he towered over me I looked up into his beautiful dark viridian orbs. "Are you kidding? I was born ready." I turned my head away but gave him a sideways grin.
He sighed. "You're awful." I laughed and turned my back to him. "We both know that's not true." I took a step forward only for Gary to pull me back to him.
"Stop with what you're doing mister. Right now. Or you'll regret it." Every word he spoke got softer and lower until the last word was only a soft whisper that almost resembled a moan. He softly bit on my earlobe as he hugged me from behind. I leaned my head back into his chest without knowing. "What happened to the doubts of last night?"
His arms loosened his grip around my waist and he leaned his chin on my head. I guess I must have hit a nerve here and really said the wrong thing at the wrong time. Damn it, how could I be so stupid?! "Uhm, we should go, uhm, sign up, before we're... Too late." I felt him nod and he let go of me completely.
Gary POV ~
I got a little caught up in the moment. Ash could be such a tease and no matter what I try I just can't resist him. So when he asked me about last night he caught me off guard and everything came rushing back at me. Why would I even doubt him, I love this guy. I love him so much, it hurts. And I'm ruining this world trip for him right now. I need to fix this, right away. But how? That's the question. And until I figure that out I'll just try my best to not upset him more. I seemed to be doing that just fine right then and there.
As I let him go and walked around him back to the entrance of the arena I grabbed Ash' hand and pulled him along with me. I don't care about what people will think anymore. He's mine and everyone needs to know.
The girl behind the counter saw us walking her way and since no one else was around she asked us: "How can I help you?" I stood resolute before her and answered her question. "We wanted to sign up for the tournament." She shook her head. "I'm very sorry but I'm afraid the signing up closed five minutes ago." I forgot I was holding Ash' hand as I bawled my hands into fists.
He pulled his hand out of mine and took a step closer to the girl. "Isn't there some kind of way you fit us in?" She placed her index finger on her chin, seemingly thinking. "Hmm, maybe? But both of you, I'm not sure." He turned to me. "We'll be a team, if that's okay?" I nodded hopefully. "Okay, if that's what you want I'll see what I can do. Just give me a name and I'll sqeeuze you into the schedule."
I grinned wide at Ash and he seemed to understand what I was thinking. Together we said: "We'll be Gash."
The girl POV ~
They were grinning at each other before they gave me their name and it was so cute. They make the cutest couple I've ever seen. But maybe that's just because they are the only gay couple I've ever seen. ANYWAY! Back to business. "Gash from... ?" The guy with the pretty deep dark blue eyes winked at me. "Pallettown."
"Okay Gash from Pallettown, I'm going to fix the paperwork for you right away, in the mean time think about the five pokemon you'll take with you on the battlefield. And remember, only five. I'm lalready making exceptions for you two.
I filled in the most important forms and quickly called the ones scheduling all the fights that there was a last minute entry. When I returned to the counter I overheard the boys talk. "But Gary, what are we gonna do? Together we have only four pokemon." "Ash, maybe we should just try. It's not like it's forbidden to have four instead of five. We're just not allowed more than five."
"I'm sorry I couldn't help but overhear that, but Ash, what happened to your confidence from earlier?" He shrugged. "Okay, we'll try then." I handed them the communication device. "Just tell them what four pokemon you do have."
He named a Pidgey, Pikachu, Eevee and a Cubone. I hope they're trained well and they can work together as a team, or else they are gonna have a hard time in the arena.
Pikachu POV ~
I had stayed a safe distance away from both Gary and Ash. Ever since last night the air around feels suffocating, like a ticking time bomb about to blow. Eevee was constantly hiding behind me, she wasn't comfortable with the situation between Gary and Ash either. If I only I knew a way to comfort her.
When they said we would be a team in the arena I had hope. Hope that things will get better. Even though me may not have trained as a team just yet, I know we can work this thing together. And we don't need that fifth pokemon. We are gonna win this thing.
After about 30 minutes they announced that we can enter the arena. As soon as we had all entered someone spoke to us all. "Pokemon trainers and pokemon, I welcome you in this arena for the competition of the summer. Behind me on the billboard you'll find in what group you're assigned and where you'll wait until your next fight. During and after you'll also see the scores add up. You'll fight until one of the parties cannot continue. I wish you all the best of luck and have fun today."
"Come Pikachu, we're assigned to locker room D." This was the first time Ash spoke to me today. I poked Eevee in her flank. She wasn't paying attention to us but the poke brought her back to reality and she followed the boys with me.
Once we got there Gary and Ash started planning how they would attack. They'd start with Cubone or Pidgey, saving me and Eevee for the times the battles would be tough. We have the disadvantage of 4 pokemon instead of 5.

Okay so I thought I would just update what I have so far and call it "Part One" this chapter is not done, I know. Took me long enough to update... I'm so terribly sorry.
If everything went well there's someone writing the fighting scene for me. I'm really grateful for that and you all should be too 'cause anything would be better than mine. Haha.
The next update is depending on that so keep your eyes open. :)
Any ideas for a new Pokemon for them to find and catch, feel free to share with all of us. :)
Beebee out!
