Gary&Ash Against The World

Johto - Chapter 9b

Hey, hey, sorry for the long wait, again. (>,<)

But here it is, with the help of @buddergod12345678910 . Let's all send some appreciation. <3 :)

Ash POV ~

I looked at his face as he stared into my eyes my heart thumping in my chest, he smirked. "Go Pidgey!" He yelled. The boy we were up against called out his first Pokemon too. "Charmeleon, go!" O dear, his pokemon already evolved once. The announcer called out at us. "Let the battle begin!" Gary grabbed my hand and held it tight. "Pidgey, sand attack." His Pidgey flew up and blew sand everywhere, hitting the Charmeleon somewhere along the way but he had his arms crossed in front of his face and blocked the attack.

"Charmeleon, smokescreen." Soon the whole field was covered in smoke, before we could call out for Pidgey to use Gust against the smoke the boy already yelled his second attack. "Take that Pidgey down with Ember." Fire raged through the smoke to where Pidgey was supposed to be and it hit Pidgey, 'cause we heard a thud a few seconds later.

"Cubone, your turn." The smoke hadn't completely cleared but we heard the boy on the other side of the field calling out at us with a smirk on his face. "This was too easy, let's finish this." Gary looked at me and we nodded. We were going to use this smoke to our advantage now. "Cubone, Bone-a-rang, now!" He threw his bone into the smoke and we saw something red jumping around. The boy yelled out at his Charmeleon. "Watch out, it's coming back!"

The Charmeleon turned around and took the bone right in his face, direct hit. He fell backwards and he got called back. "That's what happens when you consider a battle won at the first hit." The boy sent out a Vulpix, another fire pokemon. "What are we going to do now?" Gary whispered.

Gary POV ~

"I think we stand a better chance if we're up close." He whispered back. We were lucky, the boy called out at his Vulpix to use Quick Attack. "Cubone, Headbutt Vulpix when he's close." Vulpix received the blow to the head and flew backwards for a bit. "Cubone, Bone Club now!" Thankfully, Cubone was fast enough with his next attack and hit Vulpix another time on the head. "And again!" And Vulpix was down to.

"Vulpix is down, Gash won this battle!" The voice announced, we won? Already? I shrugged it off and raised the hand that held Ashes. We won! We walked back to the locker room to wait for the next battle. That came sooner than we expected, Pidgey hadn't woken yet. "Let's start with Eevee now." Ash suggested and I nodded.

We were up against a girl next, she somewhat resembled the girl from the Cerulean City gym, Misty. She called out a Bulbasaur. We let her have the first attack. Confidently she instructed Bulbasaur to attack with Vine Whip. She was good but not good enough, I laughed "Eevee, dodge with Sand Attack." Eevee dug into the field and disappeared for a few good seconds.

While Bulbasaur's vines hit the ground Eevee was still somewhere down there. Suddenly she jumped up behind Bulbasaur. "Eevee Tail Whip!" I yelled Eevee attacked the Bulbasaur from behind, he dropped to the ground and didnt get up. "One down Ashy boy." I said, Ash smiled at me. "You didn't honestly think this was the best we could do?" The girl leaned on leg and covered her mouth with her hand to hide her laugh.

"Butterfree, go show them what we can do." The Butterfree screeched out an 'Eeee'. "Stun Spore." Uh oh... "Eevee, get out of Butterfree's way!"

Pikachu POV ~

I was standing here on the side line, watching the battle. This Butterfree was going to be tough to beat. Eevee jumped away from Butterfree's Stun Spore twice, but the third time she jumped to late, it hit her mid-air. Spinning one single round she fell back down on the ground. Ash called out to me. "Pikachu, it's your turn."

I jumped on the field. "Pika!" The girl called out her attack first again. "Butterfree, Silverwind to that Pikachu."

"Pikachu, dodge and use Thunder Shock!" Ash yelled at me. I jumped away from Butterfree's attack and gathered up all my energy for a counter attack. The lightning struck down on Butterfree, she somersaulted back two times and then got her guard back up. "Butterfree, Stun Spore again."

"Watch it Pikachu, then use lron Tail." Butterfree started with her attack, but you could see she was close to exhaustion. Stun Spore didn't hit me at all. In the mean time I managed to get close to Butterfree, who was now flying lower than usual. I jumped up and hit her with my Iron Tail from above. She dropped to the ground, landing on her wings and not having the strength to fly up again.

"Butterfree can no longer fight, Gash won this battle!" The weird faceless voice called out again. The girl stomped her foot on the ground, muttered a 'Well done' and stormed off. Gary hugged Ash on their spot on the field. "Good game, you played well." I jumped on Ash' shoulder, still slightly panting. "You too, Gary. You too Pikachu." He hugged Gary with one arm and with the other hand he rubbed the fur on my head.

I know, I know, not one of my longest chapters. :( But together with the previous part of this chapter it's of a decent length. :)

Now that my finals are over I should be able to upload more frequently again, but I am working on all my other books too and have a lot more ideas for new ones, but let's first finish the ones I started. xD

But seriously now peeps, I would love a little more feedback from the readers I have left after all this time of not/late uploading. :$
