"Now each District had their own floor but there is to be no fighting and you are only allowed on your own floor. Ours is 12 and its lovely. Now you will have training in the morning so get some sleep." Effie said and I went to my room that Effie showed me and I sat on the bed. "Effie?" I said before the woman left she turned to me, "do you believe in Soulmates?" I asked and Effie come over and sat on my bed, "I do." I looked up into blue eyes, "do you have one?" I asked and the wigged woman pulled up her sleeve and showed my mentor's name imprinted onto her skin.

"Haymitch?" The wigged woman smiles softly, "sometimes we can't except the love that is given to us cause we don't believe we deserve it." I looked down at my wrist and Effie softly picked it up and turned over my wrist revealing the name that has been on my mind the past couple of days. Effie traces the letters, "I know it is hard Katniss but everything always happens for a reason."

Effie got up, "have a shower dear it'll help calm you down." And with that Effie left. I got up and walked to the bathroom and got in the shower. I washed myself clean. Once I got out of the shower I dressed in a shirt and sweat pants and picked up a remote beside my bed and started to play with it until it showed a forest and for a second I felt like I was home.

But then I remembered I'm in the Capitol and soon I'd be dead. I turned it to the city setting and went to bed hoping if anything I'll die in my sleep and get out of this nightmare.

When I woke up I got in the shower and got my training clothes on. I walked out and see Peeta and Haymitch having breakfast, "ah there she is the girl of fire." Haymitch smirked and I rolled my eyes, "okay now that you are both here. You aren't to show off your talents in front of the other tributes."

"Katniss is amazing with a bow. Dad buys squirrels off her and she gets them in the eye every single time," Peeta said and I frowned, "Peeta is strong I've seen him lift bags of flour." Peeta frowned back, "I'm not going to kill someone with a bag of flour. I have no chance of winning. You know what my Mum said to me. She said district 12 might actually have a winner this year... but she wasn't talking about me." Peeta got up, "I'm not hungry anymore."

Soon we were both in the elevator with Haymitch and he was going over the rules. When we got to the training centre I show Haymitch go over to a group of people in their 20's and 30's a few even older. Then a pair eyes caught mine. They were chocolate brown with flecks of gold. I quickly looked away and ignored the woman who kept staring at me while talking to the other Mentors.
