Chapter Twenty Eight: Katniss's POV

I was standing outside the hospital, "don't make me go in there I can't help these people." Cressida put her hand on my shoulder, "just let them see your face." I slowly walked in and as I kept walking I saw so many injured then I stopped when someone called out my name. I turned and saw a girl, "Katniss why are you here?"

"I came here to see you all," I said softly. The an older woman spoke, "what about the baby?" I sighed, "I lost it." The a young man spoke from behind me, "are you here to fight with us Katniss?" I smiled, "yes I'm here to fight with you." The boy kissed three fingers and held them up in the air followed by all the people in the makeshift hospital. I smiled and then I walked back over to Cressida and my camera crew, "let's go." I smiled back at everyone then we left.

It all happened so fast first there were bombers then I saw they were targeting the hospital and now I stand crying as I see the burning building. I was screaming but Gale held me, "Katniss. Tell me what's happening?" I turned to Cressida and then to the camera, "I want to tell the rebels that I'm alive. That right now I'm in distrect 8 where the Caitol has just bombed a hospital filled with unarmed men, women and children. And there will be no survivors." I felt anger boil inside of me, "I want to tell the people that if you think for one second that the Capitol will ever treat us fairly you are lying to yourself. Because you know who they are and what they do. THIS! This is what they do!" I yelled and pointed to the burnt down hospital. "This is what they do and we have to fight back!" I yelled and then turned around to the other camera, "I have a message for President Snow. You can bomb us and burn our districts to the ground but do you see that. Fire is catching! And if we burn YOU BURN WITH US!" I scream and turned to the hospital and cried. "Good job Katniss."

I was silent the whole way to 13 and Gale was just staring at me. Once I get there Prim ran over and hugged my arms crying into them, "Prim what's wrong?" I asked and lent down to her height, "my soulmate died." Prim held onto me and crying her heart out. I kissed her head, "it's okay I got you little duck." I walked us out of the hanger and back to our quarters. That night Prim fell asleep crying and I slowly lifted her hand up and see the faded name, 'Peggy Henley.' I kissed Prim's head and slowly slip out of bed and tuck her in.

I walked to where I know Finnick's room is. I knock on the door and Finnick opens it then silently lets me in, "My sister's soulmate died today." I whispered and Finnick sat opposite me in the chair. "We went to the hospital in 8 and the Capitol bombed and burnt it to the ground and I just... then Prim cried about her soulmate and I thought about the name written on her wrist it's a common one in 8 then it pieced together. I killed my little sister's soulmate."

"You didn't. Snow did. All of this is because of Snow Katniss not you. He is the one that ordered it all you were trying to do was give the people in 8 hope and Prim would never hate you for it. No one hates you but yourself." Finnick said and I looked into green eyes and see fire in them for the first time, "thank you Finnick."
