Chapter Thirty One: Katniss's POV

I was in the command room with the high ups and Haymitch and Beetee. "Now Peeta what do you have to say to the districts about all this destruction they are doing?" Beetee typed on his computer and me got in and they were playing what happened to 12 and I smiled happy then Peeta came back on, "Katniss?"

"Peeta what do you have to say to the districts?" Caesar asked and Peeta when on to talk about the hydro electric dam. But then I was back on the screens again, "Katniss... no one will win we aren't safe in the districts or the Capitol... RUN KATNISS THEY ARE COMING THEY WILL BE IN 13 AT SUNRISE RUN!" Peeta screamed then he was shot in the head and I screamed and covered my mouth.

"Peeta!" The screen turned to the Capitol Tv symbol and Coin quickly locked everyone down. I ran to the bunkers and searched for Prim but when I couldn't see her and Mum said she came after me I gulped, "the cat she went back for the cat!" I ran up the stairs and see Prim with Finnick. "PRIM! FINNICK!" I screamed and the countdown began and we make it into the sealed doors just in time, "Prim what the hell where you thinking going back for the cat!" I yelled and Prim cried saying she couldn't live with herself if something happened to him. I quickly pulled her in and kissed her head.

I turned to Finnick who was smiling, "I owed you my life Katniss I could let your sister die." I smiled, "thank you Finnick." The bombs started to hit and the ground was shaking I held onto Prim then we went to the beds and I held my little sister.

"Katniss there is something I forgot to tell you," Prim whispered and I looked down at her. "They are training me to become a doctor," I smiled and kissed her head, "they would be stupid not too."

After the bombing and shaking stopped I had a torch and was play with the cat. Prim was giggling from beside me. I realised something turning the torch off and handing it to Prim then I went over to Finnick's bed, "Snow is playing with us. I just realised that why playing with that stupid cat. He has got our soulmates on a string and we are chasing them around trying to get them but it's not working. He killed Peeta Finnick. He was living and beathing and they just killed him because he warned us. He's mad at us and he's going to use our soulmates to punish us."

"After Annie won her games she was scared to go in water it reminded her of the games. I would go out ever day and bring her back fish because it was her favourite meal. Over and over again I would prove to her that the water isn't bad and then one day it was raining and we had to go back home. Annie was scared shitless and I thought as her soulmate I could help so I pulled her out into the rain and I kissed her. Water soaking threw our clothes but Annie didn't freak out because she knew I was there. Soon after that I... I got her to swim again and it was beautiful she would move in the water like it was her second nature and she told me she was no long scared because I was going to forever be with her."
