( POV: RAZE AEDEN RAVIA )
She's telling me to stop worrying. How can I? Fallon's still sleeping. Her body feels warmer and she's been moving around quite a bit but she's not up.
"You're extremely stubborn, aren't you?" The lady sighs. "Go take a shower, I'm here looking over her."
"I'm not leaving-"
"Boy, you smell!"
"Excuse me?"
"You're tired, exhausted, wounded! You need a shower and then some food so go! Give her a reason to wake up. If I were her I wouldn't wake up until you got cleaned and dressed nicely."
She probably has a point. I do look extremely weary. "Fine. But call out to me if she wakes up."
"I will, your highness. Now go!"
Your highness... She doesn't know I'm a king so she's mocking me, sure. But it's kind of ironic.
I hurry towards the direction she pointed me in, jumping into the shower as quickly as I can. I note that she has prepared some clothes for me and Fallon. They're neatly placed on top of the chair.
The water soothingly flows down my back, the heat of it is comforting. Not as comforting as the fact that Fallon's back with me though. The instant my thoughts shift back to her, I decide I'm clean enough.
Great... The clothes are way too tight on me.
Fuck it. I don't have time for this. I put the sweatpants on and discard myself of the too-tight dress shirt. Going shirtless shouldn't be a problem since I'm going to stay in that room with Fal until she wakes up.
I burst through the bedroom door, scaring the old lady half to death. "Oh god! You couldn't put on a shirt?" She screams.
That's when I hear her sweet chuckle, "I don't mind." Fal says.
My eyes meet hers and I practically jump to the bed, wrapping her up in my arms. She groans, clearly in pain. Normally I'd pull back but every sound coming from her sounds like heaven.
"You're okay?" I ask as my hands come up to cup her cheeks. Her face is bruised, there's a cut right by her eyebrow and her lips are still not that cherry color they normally are.
She leans into my touch, closing her eyes, "I'm okay."
"She's doing better than I would've thought," the woman says.
I press a gentle kiss against Fal's lips but she pulls away, "I'm honestly disgusting right now. Miss Lyssa was just telling me I could go take a bath."
"You're not disgusting. Never." I reply, kissing her once more.
"Also," the woman who's apparently called Lyssa begins, "That's not what I said. I said I could help you take a bath. You can't do that alone."
