Waking up with the familiar scent of Fallon all around me is the only way I ever want to wake up.
I'm laying entirely on top of her but she doesn't seem bothered by it. Her snoring tells me she's not troubled at all. I reach up, cup her cheeks and place kisses on every part of her face.
She lets out that sweet hum that signals me she's waking up, Fal opens her golden eyes, questioningly looking up at me. "What are you doing?" Her morning voice takes me by surprise. Fuck, she's hot.
"Waking you up. We need to get ready."
"Why?" She groans, turning to the side. I jump behind her, pulling her against me. Fal fits flawlessly against my body, she curls her body up in a way that makes it appear as though she's the perfect match to my puzzle piece.
"Because your brother's engagement party will begin shortly. Engagement parties take all day in Aeden."
"Ugh," she groans again. "He's not even marrying someone he loves! Frankly, I don't support this wedding so why would I even go? I mean-" then she unexpectedly turns around to face me.
"Morana and I are going to force Z and Mera to confess their feelings to each other."
I chuckle at her cute face. She has puffy eyes and even her lips look a little swollen. As if she went to war and not to bed. "Force to confess... Sounds a bit like torture to me."
"No! Not like that. Just I don't know. Something to make them admit it. I know I said I wouldn't meddle anymore but fuck do they need it."
"Mm-hmm," I boop her nose just to see her scrunch her nose up in response. "And will you have some time for me today in between those very important meddling activities you have planned?"
"I always have time for you."
"Yea?"
"Yeah." She smiles, kissing my cheek as if that's going to be enough for me.
"Are you mad at me?" I implore.
She wrinkles her eyebrows instantly, "What? No! Of course not."
I nod, "Oh, okay. Yeah, I was just confused because if you're not mad... Then why aren't you naked, yet?"
Her cheeks redden when I say that and she gives me a precious smile. One that I'm burning into my mind at this precise moment when she responds.
"I can't read minds, general Aeden. Besides, we're in the conference room anyone can walk in at any time."
"Are we?"
This makes her finally peek at her surroundings. We're in our given bedroom. Back in the suite.
"Oh."
"And also," I add. "That didn't stop you the last time when you oh so innocently dropped to your knees."
