( POV: FALLON AEDEN RAVIA )

"Fucking hell," Raze curses as he jumps out of the car. His rushed tone makes my heart beat even faster. I follow him out, holding my hand to my heart as if that'll help slow it down.

The fire in front of us is sickening, it's absolutely horrible.

But it's not the Mansion.

It's a forest fire.

Probably caused by a lightning storm, they're quite common here in Aeden.

It's already being put out as we watch it from afar.

My sweet adorable little Wolveleon is still in the back of the car so I open his door to let him out, he startles me and makes me fall backward as he settles on top of me.

It's meant to be protective, he's shielding me from any danger. He can probably smell the fire.

I can't help but laugh as I stroke his fur and remain in my reclined position on the ground. "Can you get off, Arc? Nothing bad is going on. We're all perfectly safe." I massage the fur behind his ears, that's probably a bad decision because he decides to sleep instead of getting the fuck up.

"Raze!" I call out but receive no answer. "Angel, can you help me?" Again, no answer. I force my face to the other side and I'm met with the sight of a very amused-looking Raze. His chest is shaking from silent laughter while he eyes me.

"I keep finding you on the ground with men on top of you... Another man would've started to doubt your fidelity."

A chuckle escapes me and that makes Raze's gaze harden slightly, "Arc, off boy." He only has to call out once and the little traitor gets off.

It would hurt my feelings if I didn't know why he listened.

He didn't listen to me because he wanted to protect me. He listened to Raze because he knows he'll protect me too.

As if I need all that protecting? They're forgetting who I am.

"Are you going to get up or are you going to keep laying there?" Raze asks, holding his hand out for me.

"I can get up myself," I reply, pushing myself up with my hands and then wiping my hands off by brushing them against each other. My white dress surprisingly isn't that destroyed but it most definitely isn't clean anymore.

"Angry. I like it." He teases.

"I'm not angry," I chuckle. "But I'm also not a helpless damsel in distress and sometimes I feel that way."

He takes one stride toward me, his hands instantly on my cheeks as my eyes shut in response. I lean into his touch and he smiles, brushing his lips against my cheek.

"You're unquestionably not a damsel. But you're my everything, Fal. And I take care of what's mine."

"Oh, but I didn't even mean you. I get why you do what you do. I do it too. It's only frustrating when everyone around me does it but then again I should be grateful to have so many people that care about me. I went from almost none to this." I smile.
