If I had any anger, tension, or murderous thoughts while entering this dining room, they all evaporated when Fal gripped my hand so tightly.
Her being afraid, being worried, it's all messing with me more than anything else. So I make sure to step away with her, just for a moment, to make sure she's alright.
"I can virtually hear your heart beating out of your chest," I whisper to her, circling one of her curls around my finger.
"It's fine, let's go-"
"Uh-uh, not before you take a deep breath."
She sighs but does what I say when I glare at her. She sucks in a deep breath, "Good enough?"
"Again," I press my fingers against her neck, feeling her heartbeats and counting them until she's calmer. Madam Eira taught me all the tricks.
Once I see that she's breathing a lot steadier and more consistently I move my hand up to cup her cheek, "We're okay." I whisper. "We're all going to stay okay."
Fal nods, pressing her forehead against mine as her hands reach up to my jaw, "I trust you, angel. I trust you with my everything. Please, stay calm okay?"
I brush my thumbs over her cheekbones, "I will do my very best," I let out with a chuckle. Her reply is a soft breathy chuckle that matches mine.
"Okay, can we go in now?"
"Not yet,"
In one swift motion, I have her lips pressed against mine, I want to devour her but we don't have enough time. Still, that doesn't stop me from tugging her skirt up and brushing my hand against her thigh. My kisses move to her neck and the soft moan she lets out takes me back to reality.
"After." She states trying really hard to keep her voice steady.
"Promise?" I tease, pressing my nose against her neck.
As if we haven't had enough sex this week she replies with a very resounding yes. Just for good measure, she tugs at my hair and makes me grab her hips as a response.
"Sure you can do this?" I ask once more.
"Sure as I'll ever be."
I nod, pecking her lips a few times more, and then intertwining our hands as we walk into the dining room.
