"Can we please just wrap it up for now? We've discussed about-" he stops when his mathematical skills fail him.

"75 percent of what needed to be talked about." Laurent finishes for Tariq.

"Exactly. We haven't even been to our beds for what? A whole week now?"

"Six nights," I correct. "But Sunday is the engagement party, right? We'll finish everything by then."

The engagement party has been postponed due to our meeting which is not something I'm happy about. Even though I'm dreading that awful nuisance, it would mean that I could finally be with Fal again.

It's early in the morning now, Friday morning if I'm not mistaken. I don't think I've seen Fallon in days. I keep missing her, I try to leave the conference room to go see her but I barely have the chance to do that, and when I do she's either already asleep or she was coming toward me.

But there are cameras in the castle and however creepy it might sound it's the only way I know she's doing well. The cameras are in the halls and the common living areas so not in our suite. Which is good but sad at the same time because I haven't seen her leave the suite in days.

Until now that is.

As the others continue to discuss the matters that I brought into the discussion, I watch Fal step out of the suite.

She's wearing an adorable floral dress. It's pastel blue and pink. Her hair is cascading down her shoulders and she's holding a basket of cookies in her hand. The thing that makes my heart skip a beat is the smile she's wearing on her face. She's grinning widely, practically skipping towards the conference room.

Finally.

I hear and see her knock on the door, "Come in."

My beautiful girl walks in and the talking in the room halts. "Morning, everyone. I know you're working hard and I know you already had breakfast so I made you some cookies!"

She sets the large basket down but I note that she's still holding onto a smaller one. "Morning, my love." I smile when she steps towards me.

I grasp her hand and instantly tug her to the other room so I can kiss her all I want without the others watching us with their eagle eyes.

"You smell like strawberries and cookies," I breathe her scent in, placing kisses up her neck until I reach her lips. I cup those reddened cheeks of hers and take her in. She definitely ate a few cookies before she brought them here because I can taste them on her tongue.
