"all done boo," i spoke to my client before spinning her sound to face the mirror.
"you eat every time, endy" her whole demeanor changed. she walked in irritated and is leaving as happy as can be.
"i try, i try" i smiled to her as she paid me.
i thanked her and we said our goodbyes. after she left, i cleaned my station, disinfected, and went to the restroom.
when i came back, there was someone sitting in my chair. i had an hour break in between clients so no one should be here.
"excuse me, can i help you?" i asked them while keeping a distance. why the hell my momma just letting people in?
the chair spent around and sitting was kasani with a chick-fil-a bag and two drinks.
"yeah you can, eat lunch wimmie" i smiled at him.
i walked to him and he stood up giving me a hug. "amara usually brings me food. is she okay?"
"yeah, she said her stomach hurts so she didn't want to get out of bed. she wanted to make sure you ate though."
i pouted. "i love her so much. let's go to my car."
we walked out of the salon and went to my car. he grabbed the food out of the bag. he ordered my usual, meaning mara told him, and he only had some fries and a drink.
"thank you so much," i smiled looking over at him.
"it's nothing," he responded leaning the seat back.
we began to eat and i couldn't help but to ask him.
"are you okay? i don't mean to invade your privacy but you don't eat a lot."
"i'm okay love, i just have an eating disorder. i try to limit how much i eat so i don't start feeling sick" i nodded in response beginning to feel sad.
"no, it's fine. you don't have to talk about it. i had one and recovered from it but not fully. i eat way more but i still have days where even just the thought of food makes me sick."
"let's get off this sad ass topic. this sound weird as hell coming out of my mouth but i want to get to know you." he spoke staring a hole in the side of my face making me look over.
i couldn't keep eye contact with him so i kept looking from his eyes to down at his chain. "i want to get to know you as well. woah, i've never said that before." i laughed.
"kasani amiri santana." he started "i'm 22, no kids, and no crazy ex's." he continued, making me laugh.
"endya melian white, i'm 21, no kids, and i don't even know the first thing about a relationship."
his eyebrows raised "nah, as pretty as you is..you mean to tell me you never been in a relationship."
i blushed "no one was ever interesting enough for me, nor did they live up to my standards."
"since you wanna get to know me, i'm guessing i fit yo standards."
"mhm and more but let's not get into that. i know you got a crazy ex out here somewhere, i can tell by the way you stand—." i stopped myself seeing kasani smirk at me.
