"Afternoon," Lewin muttered lazily as he walked into the library, turning around the corner to greet (Name) who was sitting at her usual spot. He was familiar with this sight since she really was here every day he went for research. The girl was painting a new illustration, but this time there could also be a few colours be spotted within the picture - from a passionate red to a deep dark blue, everything could be seen within those inky lines.

"Good afternoon to you too, Lewin," the girl answered as she took only a short glimpse of the male. She was way too concentrated on this one and didn't dare to mess up a single spot. Lightning walked a little bit closer, peeking over her shoulder.

"Is this Lucifer's banishment from heaven?" He asked while studying the painting carefully. An angel with both arms up was drawn quite frantically as he fell out from heaven which was shown as a bright yellow firmament.

"Yes. It's my most recent commission and it's actually really fun to draw this one," (Name) answered as she dipped her dripping feather into a inkwell filled with indigo blue. She was really good with choosing her words and wasn't the type to babble nonsense if it wasn't necessary - spending all her days in a library just had to leave an impact somewhere. Lewin hummed in response while pulling out a chair that was hidden under the table and made himself comfortable across from the girl.

"So it didn't get any better, taking your question from some days ago?" He crossed his arms over his chest as he eyed the girl, his typical hat hiding his facial features. Said girl exhaled through her nose and put the feather down on the table which left a nasty splatter of ink.

"It's never gotten better." (Name)'s gaze went over the painting before she finally looked Lewin into his eyes. "I guess it's just my personal replacement for not being able to see demons," she chuckled sadly before her smile faltered. "I mean, I should have gotten used to it very long ago, but... it's just very hard, knowing that only I can see them and it's probably all just in my mind." Her gaze became more passionate with each word she spoke. "I wish I could have the same reassurance as you exorcists that these things exist. But I don't."

Lightning was deep in thoughts. In fact, he got used to being at a loss of words when talking to this girl. She just was so very good at speaking her mind and expressing her feelings, even if it was just through these paintings. Even as a child.

"But maybe the thought that these things aren't real could help you," he finally spoke and felt a little bit dumb for proposing something simple like that. (Name) gave him a weak smile, tapping on the table with her fingers. "What gives you the certainty that you aren't the ones who are making things up?"

Oh, this girl. Lewin chuckled raspily. Good one. He then took out a hamburger of the inner pockets of his jackets and began eating it.

"Hey, you know you aren't supposed to eat in he-," but she couldn't say more since Lightning had stoop up already and went towards the exit. Suddenly, he turned around and gave the confused girl a last glance.

"You do better when you're with people, trust me."

There wasn't any conversation afterwards, but this little sentence got (Name) thinking for the rest of the day.
