"Man, that surprise test today was so difficult!" Rin exclaimed as he and the other students of the exorcist class sat around a table in the open air dining area. "I wish I was in one of your classes, so I wouldn't have had to endure this today," he yawned as he stretched his arms. "Rin, it's important that you're always well prepared for upcoming lessons," Shiemi gave the boy a compassionate, yet firm look before she took a sip of her drink. "Then you wouldn't think that negatively of surprise tests."
Shima shook his head at her words and he rested his chin on his hand. "I wish I could talk that carefree about school." The pink-haired boy then gave Bon an interested look. "Say, how's it going with all that Lightning stuff you have to do? You're really busy at the time, Bon." Said boy sighed out loudly and took a good bit of his nikujaga. "I admit it's pretty time-consuming, but I'm nonetheless very grateful to learn from him. Even if he's quite the eccentric guy." He didn't mention his encounter with (Name) here. It wouldn't mean much anyway... right?
Ryuji was the kind of guy that looked scary to almost everyone who first saw him. But (Name) didn't have any comparisons and especially not how people of the same age would 'normally' look like.
She was just sitting in the library as usual and only the striking of the clock appeared to set her free in these times of day. "It's midday already?" The girl glanced up to the wooden clock that was attached to one of the bridges from a floor above. So with that, she got up, ready to grab herself some dinner today. As so often.

It was a quite beauiful day outside. The silky clouds were gently hovering in the sky and passed the sun now and then, so it wasn't all that warm to begin with. The green grass of True Cross Academy glistened enchantingly and the girl found herself scanning over the area to gain more inspiration for future paintings. "I tend to forget how beautiful it's up here," she whispered to herself as she watched her surroundings. Many students were already getting out of the building - it was lunch break after all.
So she wouldn't have to be around other people that much, (Name) quickly made her way towards a food stand that offered several traditional Japanese dishes. The girl was already used to the stares since it wasn't an everyday thing for the students to see someone walk around the place who wouldn't even wear a uniform.
"Hey, that was the last imagawayaki man! Give it to me, I'm starving," a male voice shouted which irritated the poor girl. Her irritation grew even bigger when she heard a familiar male voice answer this. "Rin, there are many other desserts you can buy. Stop shouting like that," the voice yelled back (but not as loud as the former) and laughter could be heard afterwards.
(Name) could feel herself tense up. Yeah, of course the exorcist's class would also be here at this time of day...
When it was finally her turn in the queue, the girl ordered some soba noodles and decided to take only a small peek behind her. She turned around slowly and out of the corner, she could see at least six different students that sat around a wooden table in the open. Bon was one of them. They look happy.
As if the boy could sense her staring, he turned his head towards the queue and his eyes widened only the slightest bit when he saw the familiar girl standing next to the food stall. She gave him a polite nod which he, who was in confusion, hesitantly returned before she gladly took her bowl of noodles, ready to leave this crowded place.
Seeing this, Bon narrowed his eyes as he tried to get a better look.
"I'm right back," was all he said as he stood up and left his quite irritated classmates behind.
As he pushed himself through the masses of students, Ryuji finally got a better look of things. "(Name)?" He called out for her, seeing her out in the daylight out of sudden. It wasn't even one week ago when she stated her mother would like her to attend a normal school.
"Oh, hey there Ryuji," she gave him a weak smile while holding a tray assembled with food in her slightly shaking hands. Is she nervous?
"What are you doing here? Are you attending True Cross Academy now?" He gave her a confused look, staring at her trembling figure. The bandages on her arms were almost unseeable with the long sleeves of the piece of clothing that covered her arms.
"Well," she began with a tired voice, "not really. I sometimes go here to get myself some freshly made food." She glanced back to the other students of Suguro's class that chattered happily together. "I'm glad you enjoy the food here, too." Without even noticing herself, the girl calmed down a bit, seeing that someone she knew was here as well and the sivering finally came to an end. "Anyhow, I should get going now..."
(Name) wouldn't want to disturb Ryuji in any way, so she didn't pry to sit with him or anything. After all, they didn't know each other well.
Bon sighed out and looked over the big area that was still filled with hundreds of students. It was clear the girl in front of him didn't feel very comfortable, being near so many different people she had never seen before in her life. A small feeling of guilt emerged inside of him.
"You can go sit with us if you'd like." It was just pure courtesy that made him say that. But maybe sympathy, too.
The girl grew quite worried as she saw Ryuij's expectant face stare at her. Swallowing deeply, she answered after a few seconds and hoped the boy wouldn't hate her after this.
"I'm sorry Ryuji, but I really have to go now. But I thank you for the offer."
And so, he could only watch the girl walk off in the distance, her long dress flowing with the wind as she desperately tried to get away from this situation she wouldn't have seen coming. When his classmates asked him where he went off to, the boy wouldn't bother answering.
This girl was just hella confusing.
