The Octonauts and the Ferret Rescue

Chapter 3: First Mission

It's 1 in the morning when I'm publishing this and I'm tired af. I'm just ready to drop my phone and fall asleep. Well, I'll let you guys read the chapter now. -A/n~ (=^･ｪ･^=)

Kiki's POV
I woke up and got ready for the day. I went to HQ to meet up with the captain. "Good morning, Kiki!" He exclaimed as he held his coffee away from my head as he pet me. "Morning, Captain!" I replied as he stopped petting me. I still don't like being pet, but for these guys.. I can tolerate it. I saw that cat talking to the penguin, then I overheard Kwasii talking about his gup. That's when I realized that the Tiger Shark gup was his. I walked over to Dashi and looked at what she was up to. She seemed to be checking the oceans forecast or something. "Captain, the kelp forest has something moving inside." Dashi reported, and she was right. There was a motion dot on a specific part of the kelp forest. "Understood. Dashi," It seemed that Dashi heard this line multiple times. Peso and Kwasii looked at the captain. "Sound the Octo-alert!" Just a few seconds after, there was a ringing sound that echoed in the whole Octopod. I covered my tiny ears and looked at the captain. "Octonauts, To the Launch Bay!" The captain yelled as we all headed down to the Launch Bay.

Tweak's POV
I stopped playing my video game and ran to the big screen in the Launch Bay. I saw a few others head down here as well, including Kiki. She was just a little bean. She had her cute ears covered, which I think is because of the Octo-alerts ring. I pet her as the captain came down and the little ferret uncovered her ears to hear the few notes the end of the siren. The captain had explained what was going on and who was coming with. "Can I come..? I've always wanted to explore more of the ocean but didn't want to be too far from the cay.." Kiki asked, shyly. "Alright. Kwasii, Peso, Kiki, to the Gup A!" The captain exclaimed as they all ran to the Gup A. "Tweak, open the Octohatch!" "You got it, Cap!" I opened the Octohatch and they disappeared, heading into the kelp forest.

~°At the Kelp Forest°~

Nobody's POV
The 4 got to the kelp forest in a bit of a hurry, but they ignored that and got out of the gup to figure out where the motion is being detected from. "Peso, you keep track of Kiki on the way, I don't want her to get lost in this kelp." Captain Barnacles ordered as Peso nodded and stayed behind Kiki. Once they got to where the movement was, Kiki inspected what the creature was. Well, if it can be underwater or not.. "..Untangle the kelp from this land animal immediately! It cannot be in deep waters!"

~°After the mission°~

Kiki's POV
Once we got back to the Octopod, I was just ready to pass out. They deal with all of that in one mission?! Sheesh. Tweak opened the Octohatch and we entered the Octopod. Once we got out of the gup, it looked like the world was spinning. I fell to my knees and the captain took me to my room. Right before I passed out, I heard him say things I will never forget..

"On our honor as Octonauts, we will make sure you feel at home here. If you ever feel like you need someone to talk to, we're here. If you're ever scared, come to one of us, we'll help take care of you.. don't you worry. We're not your ferret parents.. we're your ocean family from now on.." and then he left. I took that to heart and smiled when I drifted off to sleep.
