The Octonauts and the Ferret Rescue

~!Halloween special!~

Tweak's POV
Everything was decorated for halloween. Gosh, I'm so excited! I wonder what we're doing for halloween, anyway. Well, I don't think I should worry too much. I went up the shoot to check on Kiki, who's room had actually been decorated as time passed! Her brother -- Brice -- lives here as well, and he shares a room with her sister. I knocked a few times, before hearing an "Entrate!" come from the other side of the door. I assumed that it was Kiki learning italian. (Please correct me if that's wrong, but it says "Come in!" In Italian.) I walked into her room, but I didn't see her. Brice snickered as my ears twitched.

Suddenly, I saw Kiki's closet door close a bit, so I assumed she was in there. I went to her closet and opened it, and she wasn't in there. "BOO!" Kiki jumped up behind me. Of course, I flinched. "Oh me, oh my.. You scared me, Kiki!" I calmed down after a bit. "Sorry!" She giggled. "How'd you manage to, like, teleport from in the closet to right behind me?" "Huh? I wasn't in the closet, I was behind the door." I looked at Brice, who was laughing like crazy. "Brice put an RC car and tied a string to both the RC car and the door of the closet." Kiki explained. "Ohhhh, that makes sense. Well, it's Halloween, so I can't be mad!" Kiki giggled. "Yup! I'm gonna hang out with Kwasii, if that's alright with you!" I nodded, and she ran out of the room. "She's fucken' crazy." "Watch your profanity, Brice." "Apologies."

Kwasii's POV
Finally, I fixed up my gup just enough, and surely enough, the ferret child slid down the shoot, hugging me. "Hi, Kwasii!" I smiled at the other's adorable antics. "Heya, lass. You're just in time, because I just finished up fixing me' gup." Kiki smiled. "So that means we can go around the ocean for a bit?!" She squealed, and I nodded. The gup can fit both of us, speaking that she's pretty short. I hopped into the gup, and so did she. Once we were in the ocean, we were speedin' through the fast currents and calm waves. She's always liked riding through the ocean with me. From the corner if my eye, I saw her little ears twitch as she squeaked of joy. I chuckled a little as we made our way back.

"That was fun!" Kiki exclaimed with joy. I just chuckled. "Well, you go on and do somethin' else, lass. I'll be up in me' room." She nodded and went up the shoot.

Kiki's POV
I go up to Shellington's room to see what he's up to. "Shellington!" I squealed as he looked at me with a smile. "Ah, hello, Kiki." I ran up to him, examining what he was up to. "Ooh, what're you doing?" I ask. "Well, I'm carving a pumpkin! Not something I'd usually do, but I thought it would be fun to make Jack-o'-lanterns for the spooky season." He made these ghost-like sounds as I giggled. "Can I help?" "Of course! I really could use a helping hand! Just be careful." I squeak of joy as I grabbed a pumpkin that I could actually carry, and I brought it to the table, where I stood beside Shellington.

I grabbed one of the tools and started carefully cutting off the top, making sure not to accidentally cut myself. Once that was over with, Shellington set his pumpkin aside and scooped out the insides of the pumpkin. I gagged slightly, thinking it was gross. "Ew!" Shellington laughed. "It's not that bad, Kiki." I poked the insides with gloves, before finally starting to help. Honestly, 2/10 on that; wouldn't recommend. Once that was over with, I sketched out a face on the pumpkin with a sharpie, and I used a scalpel to cut out the outlines. Shellington put something inside his pumpkin, to which it lit up. I was amazed. "How'd you do that?!" "It's called a little candle, Kiki. It's what makes the jack-o'-lanterns light up." "Ohhhhh.. okay!" I smiled, once I finished cutting out the face. Shellington grabbed something, to which I assumed was the candle, and he used fire to light it, -- I have a lot of experience with fire because of my "dad" -- before setting it inside the pumpkin and putting the top on.

"I can take these down to the HQ. Why don't you go help Dashi with other decorations?" I nodded. "Thanks for letting me help, Shellington!" I smiled, before heading out. I immediately ran to the gaming area, where I knew Dashi would be. "Dashi? Can I help you with decorations?" Dashi's tail started wagging at the request of help. "Of course!" She seemed to be putting up some kind of banner. "Okay! What should I do?" I tilted my head to the side. Dashi thought for a moment. "Oh! Do you think you're able to light the halloween candles without burning yourself?" She pointed at the candles behind me. I nodded, having used lighters before. This was a smoking lighter, I think. I grabbed the lighter and one of the candles, before lifting it up and lighting the candles. I tilt it sideways because I find it easier to light without burning myself, but I don't tilt it all the way. I tilt it safe enough for me to not burn my hands and not drop the candle. I started doing the same with the other candles as well.

I helped Dashi and Peso with decorations, the vegimals with preparing food for this year's halloween, helped Inkling decorate the library, and about the captain.. he's not exactly letting me help him, but I don't know why. Oh! I also helped Kwasii and Tweak decorate the gups to make them look a bit more spooky! I gave Brice a costume for halloween as well. He was a demon, and I was a dark angel! Y'know, because it's halloween. Then, the captain called us all to the HQ, so I headed there, along with others.

Once I got down the shoot, I hugged the captain out of instinct. I look around the room; the floor has jack-o'-lanterns in the corners, there were tinier pumpkins by the control panels, along with tiny candles. The room had tons of banners hung up. I smiled, before feeling like my feet were off of the ground. I squeaked, squirming around a bit, before realizing that it was just Kwasii. "Don't scare me like that!" I huffed as the cat laughed. "But it's halloween, lass! That's the point!" I scoffed lightly. "You nearly gave me a heart attack..." Peso rushed over, hearing what I said as he checked to make sure I wasn't injured, to which I wasn't. Peso sighed with relief. "Don't scare me like that again, Kiki." "But Peso.. that's the point of halloween!" I whined a bit. "That's what I said!" Kwasii wasn't wrong. "May I have your attention." The captain called out as we all got into our places. "Happy halloween, Octonauts! I'm glad to say that you've all done a fabulous job at decorating the octopod." The captain turned to me and Brice. "As for you two, I've scattered candy baskets throughout the place as a little reward." So that's why he wouldn't let me help! He was making something like a scavenger hunt for candy! "Ohhhh!" "Aw, sweet!" Brice and I were excited. "You may not search as of right now, because we have some halloween dinner to have tonight!" Everyone gathered at the table, finding a seat. This is new thing for me.

Once we ate dinner, we had some quick dessert -- pumpkin pie -- and Brice and I got up to start searching. Once the captain let us search, Brice and I went opposite ways.

~°Once this "scavenger hunt" finished°~

Once all the bags were found, Brice found 1 less than me! I smiled with glee, before deciding to share some with Brice, since I know I'm not gonna eat all of this candy in one sitting. The moment it hit midnight, everyone put the jack-o'-lanterns out and went to their rooms. Brice and I ate some candy before going to sleep. This has to be the best halloween I've ever had..
