Kiki's POV
I woke up to hear metal tangs. I got up from my bed and walked to the sound. I slid down the shoot and bumped into my brother. I stepped back, but he pet me and told me that he was manipulated to abuse me. I didn't trust him, but I decided to go with the flow and watch Tweak make a ferret trap out of metal. "Brother, what's going on?" I asked as Barnacles walked up beside me. "We're setting up a trap for dad." He kneeled down beside me, smiling. "Can you explain his plan to me? Please??" I gave him my pleading face, and he explained everything, unable to resist my cute face. My smile dropped as I heard the "Brainwash" part. "They.. want to brainwash me..?" Tears ran down my cheeks. It reminded me of all of the past trauma I've had. My father manipulating and neglecting me sometimes, him screaming at me and grounding me for no reason, and just the thought that he'd want to brainwash me made me sick. Captain Barnacles wrapped his arms around me as I hugged him tightly. "I know, he's going too far with this due to your past trauma, but the trap will be done very soon. Don't worry, little sis." He turned to Tweak. "The trap almost done?!" He yelled to her over the loud tangs of the hammer slamming the nails on the ferret trap. "Yeah!" Tweak replied, slamming the nail into place, which held three pieces together.
After a few minutes, I hid behind boxes along with Brice. He seemed very confident that this would work, so I seemed confident to ensure him that I wasn't nervous. Just then, we heard a splash.
Tweak's POV
I opened the Octohatch as Kiki's dad came through. He grabbed the dock to help him get up, and I'm just glad he didn't see the trap. "I'm here for Kiki. I mean no harm, I just want to see my daughter." He lied as us Octonauts looked at each other. "Why do you need her?" Kwasii asked, as if her father was plotting to murder her. "Y'know.. to Visit her. Yeah.. Visit." I gave the captain the signal, and he dropped the rope which held the ferret trap up. Down the metal trap fell, and suddenly, it hit the ground with a loud ring to it. Everyone covered their ears and closed their eyes. Once that was over, I opened my eyes and saw the worst thing ever...
Her father on top of the trap with a smirk on his face..
Okay, let me explain. Tweak thought that Kiki's father was gullible enough to not notice the metal trap that she had been working on for at least 2 hours, and didn't know that her father had fast reflexes. How the trap would work is that once the captain let go of the rope, it would sway back and forth to try and catch the father. But due to the father's cat-like reflexes, he got a hold on the rope and untied it without anyone seeing, which made the trap fall. While it was falling, he positioned himself on the untied rope and held it in place as he sat upon the trap. Hopefully that made sense to you all, and I have to go to bed now.
