Dashi's PoV
I was called out into HQ by the captain, so I was a bit confused. I don't remember doing anything wrong recently, unless it's something about Kiki he's calling me for. When I got there, everyone else was in HQ. "Yes, captain?" "I'm glad you're here, Dashi. I've called you all to discuss about Kiki." Everyone was rather confused. "What do you mean? Is it something she did?" Kwazii asked. Barnacles shook his head no. "Are we taking her to a populated place?" He shook his head again at Shellington's question. This meeting made everybody curious. "So, you all know about the octo-agents, right?" We all nodded. Who wouldn't in this place? "Well, I've noticed that Kiki, our little ferret friend isn't physically qualified for being an octonaut. Hence the age and height, along with the lack of mobility for a two-year-old ferret." Everyone started trying to convince the captain to let her be an official octonaut, but Shellington and I knew what he was going to say. "Whatd'ya mean, captain?! We all appreciate her being here!" Kwazii whined. "Now, hear me out." So, we did. A bit of mumbling was heard from Tweak before everyone shut up. "So, I talked to the octo-agents, and they all agreed to let our little ferret friend be a junior octo-agent! Now, the next step is to tell her." "I can get her, cap'n!" I exclaim as I jump down the chute to get Kiki.
Once I get to Kiki and Brice's room, I knock on the door. Brice opened the door, and let me in. "Hey, Brice? Kiki? I have something important to mention..." "Oh, of course!" Brice smiled softly, sitting on Kiki's bed as the girl read her book. "Is something wrong?" I sighed. "Well, Kiki isn't really... ...qualified... ...to be an official octonaut," I paused, seeing Kiki slam her book shut. "...what..?" She asked, teary-eyed. "Hey, now- we have a solution.." I calmed the young girl down. "Since you lack mobility, and your height and age doesn't completely make you qualified for this job, but you've proven with your IQ that you can problem-solve in a matter of seconds, we decided that you could be a junior octo-agent!" Kiki tilted her head in confusion. "Junior... ...octo-agent?" Brice was confused, too. "Mhm. Octo-agents aren't exactly Octonauts, but they can help with missions, even if from across the world! We have junior octo-agents in-training, so the captain thought you'd fit perfectly!" Kiki gasped as Brice smiled. "Yes!! Yes!" Ki was loving her new role. "Brice, I'll have to talk to the captain about your role, but I think you'd be a great octo-agent." I smiled.
After a while, I heard the captain talking to them about roles. They won't be separated, but they'll be in another place of a ferret's habitat. I smiled softly, knowing she'll get along well with the other junior octo-agents. And, I looked around the corner, and they disappeared. I assumed it was to go to their other habitat.

Kiki's PoV
Manipulating the lack of needs for animals in my habitat is the most amazing thing I've ever done. Ever since getting the watch, I've been able to communicate with the Octonauts. I still miss seeing the captain, however. He was a lovely father figure. But, I met Paani, and he's an absolute sweetheart! It's almost like he's a brother to me. I help him study water types, and meanings of them. Brice even started getting jealous (not actually), but they still hung out.
"Paani, Paani!" I ran up and hugged Paani. Brice and I were visiting him, and the other hugged back. Brice shook Paani's hand and we all started helping the monkey with his water studies.
One day, while we were working on the study of nearby river water to determine the amount of dirt and salt is contained within the water, and if the animals need to leave, just in case the water's contaminated. I jumped on a log and was brought down the river, collecting as much of the river water as I could. Paani and Brice were researching about the water, until I yelped out...

Brice's PoV
I heard my little sister yelp out, and I ran to the river to try and see my sister. I looked around and ran down beside the stream, Paani following me close behind. I stopped dead in my tracks when I saw Kiki trying to grab ahold of the log she was on before falling off. She couldn't see anything, and the water was starting to freeze over. She was also headed towards a lake that was quickly freezing. She was way too far from us to be grabbed by the paw. I look at Paani and he sounds the octo-alert, getting the Octonauts' attention.
"Octonauts, Brice and I, we have a situation..."
(RAHHHH I'M ALIVE I WAS JUST ON WRITER'S BLOCK FOR THE LONGEST TIME AND I'M LITERALLY ABOUT TO PASS OUT 😭 But I hope you enjoyed this long-overdue chapter. I'll try to make the next chapter by around Christmas!)
