Peso's POV
After a few weeks, Kiki seemed to be doing better after her little fight. I entered her room and she was sleeping. I walked over to check on her, and she woke up. "Peso..?" She mumbled as I nodded. She sat up and turned to me. "Am I better yet? I miss walking around." "Well, you're gonna need a checkup first!" She giggled when I said that. Once I gave her a quick checkup, I tried seeing if she could walk on her own, but she couldn't keep her balance. I set her back on her bed and told her this: "You're better, just not stable just yet. Let's wait another week and then test your balance." She nodded and I walked out.
Kiki's POV
After Peso left, I hopped out of bed and tried walking for a bit. I clearly fell over a few times, but I managed to get to my closet without losing balance. I walked back and forth from my bed to my closet. That's when I saw my door handle turn, so I hopped back in the bed, and it was The captain. To be honest, I felt kinda relieved. "Your ferret family left, but kind of hurt all of the others and tried hurting me, but he never even touched me." I stared at him. I wanted to jump into his arms, but I'm not stable enough. "So, you're safe now." He walked over to me, picked me up, and hugged me. I clearly hugged back. Once we finished that small moment, we separated and he sat down on my bed. "Since you can't walk just yet, You can't go on any missions. I'm sorry, Kiki. But it's not safe for an unstable ferret to be out in the ocean when you could drown. I just don't want you to be in danger. Okay? Goodnight." He said that whole thing, and I was stunned. I said goodnight back to him. But once he left, I covered myself with the sheets in disbelief. No missions..? No..
I need to do something..
