Chapter 8: Where?

Captain Barnacles's POV
I was gonna go check on Kiki since I heard her crying. But once I was outside her door, I heard shuffling in her room. I slightly opened the door to check, and nobody was in there, but a 2-year old ferret crying in her bed. I sat beside her and she told me she had a nightmare about her brother. I managed to help her fall back to sleep and I got up and went to the door. Before I could exit, I heard shuffling in her closet. Since I was pretty tired, I didn't pay much attention to it. I closed the door behind me and went back to my room.

In the morning, I came to check on Kiki, and saw that her covers had blood all over them. I quickly ran to the Sick bay to see if she was there, but I didn't see her. "Peso! Have you seen Kiki in here?!" I asked him, and he shook his head. "Why? Did something bad happen?" He asked me, worriedly. "I'll explain later. I need to see if she's with the others or if they've seen her." Peso sighed but allowed me to excuse myself. I went up to Kwasii's room and saw him reading a pirate book. "Ahoy, matey! What brings you here?-" "Kwasii! Have you seen Kiki by any chance?!" I interrupted him. "Uh, no? Why do you ask?" He replied as I groaned in distress. "I need to find her." "Sorry, captain. Haven't seen her." He looked up from his book. "Maybe she went to Shellington's room?" "Alright, I'll ask him then." Kwasii nodded and went back to reading his book. I went down and headed to Shellington's room. "Shellington!" I looked into his room to see him cleaning up the mess that happened when I startled him. He sighed. "Yes, captain?" He paused the sweeping and looked at me. "Was Kiki in here? I need to find out where she is." He looked down and shook his head. "Thought she was still asleep." I sighed and went to Dashi's room. "Dashi! Did you take any pictures with Kiki this morning?" She yelped as she whipped her head around. "Oh, it's just you captain.. And no, I didn't take pictures with her." She replied, hasty. "Sorry for startling you, Dashi. But anyways, have you at least seen her today?" She shook her head and looked at her camera she was wiping. "Sorry, captain. But I have not seen her at all this morning." "It's fine." I lied. I was getting really worried. "Maybe Tweak has seen her?" Dashi implied. "I was just about to go ask her. Thanks, Dashi." She nodded and I left the room. I went down to the launch Bay and saw Tweak fixing the Gup D. "Hey, Tweak? Have you seen Kiki down here?" She didn't take her eyes off of the Gup she was fixing. "Sorry, Cap. I haven't." I was starting to panic much more. "Alright, I'll go ask Inkling, and then the vegimals." I was about to walk out until Tweak stopped me. "Wait, Cap?" I looked back at Tweak. "You seem scared. Has nobody else seen her?" I nodded. "Well, let's hope either the Vegimals or Inkling had seen her. Okay? No need to panic, cap." My mouth shifted to a smile. Well.. sort of. "That is unless nobody has seen her this morning." Tweak nodded to my statement. "You never know, Maybe she's in the kitchen or in the library?" I shrugged. "Maybe. I'll go ask Inkling now." "Alright, cap!" I went back up and walked to the library. "Oh, hello Captain!" Inkling spotted me enter the library. "Hello, inkling. Question. Is Kiki in here?" He didn't look up from his book, but shook his head. "Haven't seen her all day, Captain. Maybe she's in the kitchen? H.Q. perhaps?" The kitchen was my next stop. "Alright, Inkling. Just wanted to make sure." I exited the library, and my anxiety was rising. A lot. I went back up and headed to the kitchen. I quickly checked H.Q. to see if she was in there. But if course, she wasn't there. I reached the kitchen and saw Tunip walk over to me. "Chiba Chiba!" I chuckled quietly and asked what I came here for. "Hello, Tunip. Is Kiki in here by any chance?" Tunip shook his head. "Have you.. seen her at least?" He shook his head again, with a sad face. "Chiba.." I sighed. "It's okay, Tunip.." It wasn't. It really, really wasn't okay. I went back down to Kiki's room to check if she was in there one last time. I checked everywhere in her room and the Octopod. No sigh of Kiki. There's not even any DNA of her. I sounded the Octo-alert. "Octonauts, to the H.Q.!" I yelled out as everyone gathered around in the H.Q.

I'M SORRY THIS WAS KINDA SHORT! I'm in the car with my brothers right now and we're going home. I made sure to make it as long as I could before I get home. Anyways, I'm most likely just wasting your time now, so I'll let you guys free. Have a good day/afternoon/evening/night! Love you all! -A/n
